I replaced rotors, Brake Pads front rear both by my self, I saw that my bottle/reservior is having some muddy sand inside, I unbolted it out in order to clean it with carbi choke, I did so, I clean it, ran through some brake fluid in it before installing, then installed it, I bleed all four wheels starting from the farthest, heres a thing now, When my car is shut off, the pedal is rock hard, but when its start its spongy, also when theres a bump during brake its giving me a feeling as if something scratching down(although this same feeling was there when the pedal was nice and smooth before changing the brakes, please help? My car is Acura TSX 2008

Hey Chris
Thank you for all your videos. I am a DIY mechanic so I don't do a lot anymore. I have done many brake jobs and made a bleeder like yours from a peanut butter container. Works well. When I had an F250, I did a brake bleed on it - I understand doing a bleed every three years or so is recommended. I am doing a full brake job on our 2011 Subaru Forester over the next few days. On the video for that, I learned a few new things. Very grateful for the OUTSTANDINGLY WELL DONE video. This video is the best one I've seen on this topic. I appreciate your teaching skills.

I enjoy seeing guys working on their personal vehicles, buying the brand name collectors because it's what the pros use, I'm not some hack using a jerry rigged gatorade bottle!
Meanwhile at my work (dealership) every tech has collectors with such tool brand names as gatorade/powerade, mountain dew and Sprite. Real professionals using what came out of the vending machine. I mean, off of the tool trucks.

Ive been bleeding brakes like this since 1985. I first saw the method in an old GM Manual.
I find that a glass jar ( like a Pace picante sauce ) works good.
I dont use a top, just put the tube in the jar and dont let it come out or let the fluid get too high or low.
People would tell me No that wont work! .
But It works great.

Not so fast--didn't work out so well! The Fixer. I love him like a brother and greatly value his outstanding DIY videos, but here's some constructive criticism to make this process work the FIRST TIME for a DIYer. I tried the homemade bleeder kit shown in this video and it was a disaster!
PROBLEMdon't
manageable

Hi Chris! When pumping the breaks what should I look forward to? Meaning how do I know I have no air in the line?
Or is it something that I have to stop pumping and go look and get back in the car to start pumping?
Thanks.

Couldn't you just use an oil can, fill it up, and pump it through the slave cylinder bleeder valve? Basically filling it up from the bottom, since air travels up, and watching the master cylinder air bubbles go away.

If you drill the hole to large just put a zip tie on the hose under the cap so it doesn't slide out and don't let it tip over. It doesn't have to be air tight the bottom of the hose just has to stay submerged.
