Hey Chris, on hoses that connect to a metal nozzle, do you recommend using sandpaper to smoothen it out? I have changed every hose on my car, and two of them still leak a little bit. They are small hoses that go to the supercharger's charge air coolers.
I have tried everything short of replacing those hoses again: I've gone back and used a little more sandpaper to make sure it is completely smooth, as well as changing the clamps to the screw type. I'm thinking of ordering OEM clamps buying those new hoses again. Although both ends of the hoses connect to a metal fitting, only one end of each hose is leaking. It is driving me nuts to have to top up the coolant every other week.

I know you probably won't reply, but can someone help me a little. I have a used 99 mustang. It's a 3. 8L v6. The previous owner completely replaced the stock radiator and hoses with one that is not really compatible with the car, and then Jerry rigged everything to make it work. The extra metal mounts were sawed down to fit in the engine bay, the hoses are clamped onto smaller hoses, etc. I am gonna replace it all and I'm seeing multiple different diagrams for my year model, some of them shoe a coolant reservoir, some don't. What do I do?

WARNING! The way Chris put that clamp on the lower hose to radiator it WILL at some time blow off. The way that clamp is sitting will do NOTHING to keep the hose in place and coolant pressure from pushing that hose off. What's the matter with you Chris, I like your videos but if people follow what you have done in this video they will be stuck out on the road with no coolant and probably a blown engine some time ahead

Hey! I know this is an older video, but I have a question: the radiator hose on my 2009 Dodge Durango looks swollen and puffy, looks like it's about to burst. So far, no over-heating issues. Does it need replacing? A friend also suggested maybe there was a problem with thermostat or sensor?

I just replaced both hoses and the thermostat. Now there is a small drip from the upper hose where its attached to the radiator. Ive replaced the hose clamp twice and still a small drip. Could the radiator outlet be bad? Is there something I can put on there to help seal the hose? Thanks.

My car is having issues with overheating. Just added a whole thing of coolant to it because I found out the hard way I was out of coolant. Yet my car is still steaming a bit and the temp gauge goes up. Turned out to be an air pocket and a hose leak.

What kind of hose clamps are those? My hose I bought to replace my oem one continues to come loose and pop off no matter how many of the other type you tighten with a philips head and flex seal. It's driving me nuts. Those clamps look way better

Thanks Chris I was just gonna put the hose on and tighten it and fill some coolent but now I will also be pushing the air bubbles as I fill the coolent and turn on the heater to get rid of air bubbles
