Congratulations Mrs o, to hunt and to get a deer is fantastic but to get it with a bow and arrow, I'm impressed with getting a deer by bow and arrow awesome job again congratulations on an excellent hunt, your husband is a lucky man I know there is a lot of people out there that hunt to keep their freezers full and however you fill the freezer with a rifle or with a bow and arrow I think using a bow and arrow to get your freezer full is so cool, Mr and Mrs o i watch the videos every time One Drops for the last year and a half now and the setup you have there at the shop is pretty cool I must say, and to be able to work with your wife and still be on talking terms that's pretty cool too, you all are awesome the videos you put out can actually teach somebody something and well anytime this is all comes into the shop to say hey or dinner's ready that's quite the outfit you got there. PS keep them vids coming if and when you can after all learning something from a mechanic that's got some secrets and some tips well I'm watching those videos, thanks again y'all have a good one.

Uncle was chief of our local volunteer fire house. Grew up going there almost every day. Uncle ate his lunch there. At noon they test the siren then, if someone's around you key the mic say station blah blah 10-4. Lets dispatch know she works. Every time we got a electrical storm, it would trip the alarm at the local retirement home which then trips the station siren automatically. It would go constant til manually shut down. One day a storm tripped it. It took off blowing. My uncle could get there in under a minute. He worked next door. Before he got a chance to shut it down lightning smacked it. Blew it up. Lol. New siren came in we had to change it out. That thing was basically a big motor, shaft out both sides, 2 wheels on it. Bet it weighed 300 pounds. What a monster. They say lightning never strikes the same place twice. Bull. A month later new one got hit. Same thing happened. Lol.

I agree with Eric O, ,makes me want to shoot every deer I see. . I grew up on a sheep farm. Two hundred lambs every year. I remember fresh kill, eating a lamb at 6: 00 p. m. that had been alive that morning. My friends think I am joking, when I see sheep in a field and say, let's stop and peel one and eat it. I remember going to the pig farm behind ours, and Daddy trading a leg of lamb for a ham. The neighbor literally reached into the smoke-house and pulled out the ham. That hog had died the day before, and the ham was hot and dripping. Fresh meat tastes so much better than supermarket meat.

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed your video and learned some new techniques to deal with problems that often turn a quick and easy job into real work. One question though, I know some plugs these days come with a dab of anti-seize on their threads, but I often add just a bit more to ensure I'll have no problems getting them out in the future. I didn't hear you mention it or see you use any additional, is this something I missed or not something you worry about? Thanks for the video and I really like how you manage to keep it real by including lunch with the family when possible.

The rear manifold does everything it can to be in the way and with the cross-over pipe and its two rusted bolts and the down pipe with its four rusted bolts it was impossible to get out of the way. Working on the ground with no torch, I had to pay for towing to and from a garage plus pay the garage for torching off the heads of the bolts so I could finish the job because the shop didn't want any part of it. Oh, did I mention this is my wife's car and she's a bit impatient?

Eric, you may or may not have had happen to you what happened to me. Working right on top of the battery like that, you're likely to drop a tool of some sort across the terminals. I have a 10mm spanner with a rather attractive blue (and soft metal) band smack in the middle of it. I also now appreciate how quick spot welding works, and the value of a hefty pair of pliers on hand, to release said (very hot) spot welded part! Lesson: remove battery before working in vicinity!

I've had 2 Mopar mini vans with worn out plugs, wires, and bad coil take out the ECM. My thought is that since the ECM grounds the coil to produce the spark, the worn out plugs and wires caused high voltage to back up into the ECU killing the coil driver. The clue on the last one was both plug wires of the center coil were a no spark. Moral of story, change long life plugs before 150, 000 miles to save ECM. IT'S CHEAPER.

28: 04, the only deer I saw yesterday, Oh Eric is that roadkill. I had to laugh. I remember back in the late 60's driving my Dutch grandmother from Northfield, MN back to the farm in Faribault. I was driving grandpa's old Desoto and hit a pheasant. 2 seconds later see yelled at me to stop. She got out grabbed the pheasant and within minutes had that thing plucked for supper that night.

Ouch. This is so foreign to me. I live in North Texas, we don't salt the roads (or the TXDOT didn't use to, now they spray a saline solution on the main roads before expected freezing precipitation. We have enough to worry about with our vehicles having mechanical issues. At least we don't have to worry about our vehicles rusting out beneath us.

I was changing the spark plugs in my Marquis the other day and thought about your videos like this. It was easy-peazy. I just made sure the engine was cold before I changed them. Years ago, singer John Denver had a song called, Some days are diamonds, some days are gold. Looks like you had a little dust on the diamond, Eric. Great video!

Eric, good job at keeping your cool even when inside you were screaming G. D. Y. S. B.! and those back plugs are exstreamly hard enough to get out and put new ones in. Thank Goodness none of the back bank didn't break. Oh, by the way I, like the square ones better also. Love your videos. Dan Johnson aka Super Genius.

Wow. Two new outstanding videos this morning, both by respected teachers (Wes and Eric, both showing serious complications during a minor repair. DIY automechanics is easy enough when things go well, but everybody needs to be ready to cope when nature fights back. Depth of experience is everything.

A year or two back, I bought a brand name spark plug wire set and found they had more (worse) electrical resistance than the old wires they were supposed to replace. A cheap set from a chain auto parts store tested far better. It seems most people don t even bother measuring resistance anymore.
