Let me tell you - after some initial trial & error I found a couple of your EVAP vids which helped me isolate my P0455 money light! All I have is a basic Actron scanner / code reader. I had voltage at the vapor vent solenoid and thought that should activate every time the key was turned on. Since it did not activate I thought it was bad and replaced it. Cleared the code but the light came back. Checked the fuel tank pressure sensor but could not verify its operation. Decided to replace it. Since the P0455 was permanent by that time I had to perform a couple of drive cycles. No more P0455! Im also baffled by the seemingly specific GM drive cycle requirements. Who the heck in NYS has a or no enough or straight enough Road - with no traffic - to run that drive cycle uninterrupted? Anyway, thanks!

I was driving home and all of the sudden I lost Pressure to the point that when I took my foot off of the gas the motor wanted to die, I looked under the hood while waiting for a toe truck and the air filter had blown out of its holder, when I got home I plugged code reader in and these are the codes I r ecieved, PO455, PO305 PENDING, PO442 PENDING, PO138, PO132, PO303 PENDING, PO301 PENDING, PO300, P1391, PO432, . SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON WE HAD A fuel sencor or gas cape code. I'm at a lose as to what to do, I just purchased this 2002 Jeep liberty and I can't afford much help fixing it. please tell me what I can do and why all of these codes would come on at the same time. sincerely Diane Marie

I really look forward to watching your videos, and respect you massively for helping people, I learn a lot and appreciate the shared knowledge, anything that can save money is a good thing!
I cured a scooter/moped years ago with an odd problem, girl used it for work in winter or wet weather it was fine, in summer conked out all the time, the cure found completely by accident was her waterproof trousers/jacket made of thin plastic were stored on top of fuel tank under seat, blocking breather hole in cap, still she was happy with free fix, I just glued a MDF ring on top of cap with a few holes through side, bodgy but great ha ha

My car has had P0455, for over 3 years. The mechanics' repairs (fuel canister vent valve, gas caps, vapor canister purge valve, vapor canister vent solenoid, fuel filler neck) turn off the money light, for 2 to 4 days, just long enough to pass state inspection, and this year nothing is turning it off. It went off by itself for 3 months this winter, when fuel tank was kept at 1/2 to 1/4 of a tank and reappeared in the warm weather. State inspection failure is about to send this perfectly operational car to the crusher, due to local mechanics (including the dealer's) inability to diagnose/resolve the money light.

I'm looking for anyone's best guess, why a 3 year persistent P0455 would turn off (test passed, only during 3 months of winter if gas kept between 1/2 and 1/4 of a tank? A long list of parts have been replaced at various garages, but P0455 returns, with this one exception this past winter.

Thank you so much. I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand am with 3 codes and the PO455 was one of them. PO741 says stuck off and the third one is PO1887. Could these all come from the first one? Or are they all from different places?

Any recommendations on which Autel Maxi Sys diagnostic tool to get? On Amazon I see scanners from 565 to 3, 000. Right now I'm a DIY hobbyist, but next year will be working as a newbie technician in auto shop. Thanks

My engine light goes on when my fuel level in tank drops to about 1/4 or less. The code is always PO455, I clear the code and restart and the light stays off until my tank level drops. Hyundai 2014 Santa fe

Would this all be the same scenario or similar for a 2004 chevy aveo ls with an EVAP system gross leak. We already replaced the gas gap 2 weeks ago when the engine light came on. Now it came on again today.
