maybe you can answer this question for me. i got a chrysler 300c srt8 that i put long tube headers on and of course my luck the o2 sensor plug on 2/1 (pass upstream) harness side the pins came out of plug it took me three or four days trying to do research not knowing very much about o2 sensors (but i do now) i finally think i figured it out on witch pin goes where in the plug. i replaced the sensors putting the extenders on the down streams due to no catalytic converter trying to fool the sensors but its not working or something cause im still getting p0132 p0138 p0152 and p0158 and cant figure out for the lifs of me what it is. you think i got a open circuit and i need to go in and check resistance like you do in this video? its really bugging me and the exhaust is so rich in fuel smoking me out inside the car. any help you may provide would be greatly appreciated. interesting video by the way and imma sub to you. thanks boss

You started where I thought you should based on the information provided. I even anticipated you needed a PIN to check the ohms. I think I've been watching your videos too much. But they're good and they help me think and keep my brain active in my old age! The information you were provided was they swap the O2 sensors more than once and ended up putting in the old ones. I was thinking of wiring right away. I'm at 11: 15 into this video. I can't wait to see how this turns out! The suspense is killing me!

Doesn't it just feel great when another shop admits they have no damn clue and says you need to go to Eric O at South Main Auto! He can diagnose anything and we suck hahaha. Way to go taking the other shops customers. And you know after they leave your shop they will always come back and say the other shop was pathetic hahahahah screw the other shop if they can't do what Eric O can do they just need to shut down forever it's not freaking rocket science!

Ive searched alll over on how to fix this i have a mazda protege 2. 0 and my light is on for bank 1 sensor 2 heater circuit low i belive its p0037 not 100 percent sure the paper isnt next to me but i replaced the o2 sensor and everywhere i looked on youtube was just on replacing the o2 sensor this video even tho its a jeep and not a 4 banger i can track down and fix my car with some confidence thank man this video helped me out alot

So after watching this i have some quick questions if anyone can answer.
(1) Should I remove the negative cable on the battery before I pull the connectors from the ecm?
(2) Where can I get the diagrams and all the wiring info like Eric had?
(3) Can I preform these tests using a multi meter?
(4) If it ends up being the ground like seen here. Could I add more wire to make the grounds longer?

Eric, this isnt another request for you to do the impossible scan tool comparison & recommendation. Heres a good alternative:
Each time you whip out a scan tool would you please tell us why you chose that particular one this time? By hearing your reasons, over time we can start to make our own decisions as to the best scam tool for our needs.

I wish I could find a mechanic like you around here. The shop I take my BMW to wanted 970 to change out 2 pre-cat o2 sensors. Only one of them was bad and you can see both of them in the engine bay right in front of your face. 5 minute fix but they wanted to charge 3 hours and 300 per sensor. No way. Excellent video Eric - you are a REAL mechanic, not a parts changer like some other shops.

Well I used seafoam top engine cleaner to clean both catalytic converters an replaced all 02 sensors on my 02 jeep liberty. Mechanic said its overheating could not find it. Come to find their the original 02s from factory 18 years ago! Cleaner melts that heated carbon in catalytic doesn't make sense to change the O2 sensors if you didn't clean the catalytic converters. Check thermostat also

Hey there! Amazing video and i think its going to help me fix the P0038 code on my 10 two door JK. According to your video, sensor has a bad ground. My question is if I can cut and relocate the wire (directly from the outlet where sensor is plug into) to a new ground instead of grabbing all cables in ground g104. Thanks for your help! Checking O2 heaters is basic stuff. Shame on the other shop for not keeping up with the narrow band sensor testing. Good luck with wide band sensors, fellas!
If you can't educate yourself with the basics, you ain't much of a mechanic. Especially with Chrysler ground issues!
