I haven-t driven a Raptor but have driven Ford-s new 2 litre Ranger for two days on both highway and rural roads, about 400m. We have a couple of Amaroks and several Ranger 3. 2 diesels in our fleet. They are very capable and easy to drive around rural New Zealand. The new 2 litre Ranger, presumably same motor as the one that powers the Raptor in this video is surprisingly good. While it doesn-t have the raw torque of the 3 litre, it is capable. I-d happily own one.

Still can't quite understand why they didn't put the 2. 3L from the North American version, or maybe even the 2. 7L V6 of the F150 instead of this underpowered diesel. It might be plenty good enough for a regular pick up, but not a 'Raptor'-branded one.
Other than that, I quite like the thing.

My Ford Everest Turbo -Broke- with only 58K on the clock. It seems there is a massive problem with the ford Turbos that no one is talking about! Sold it immediately after being repaired by ford and got a Hilux. Stay away as far as possible from ford. You have been warned.

This car has the looks and the suspension but it severely lacks the engine to be attached to the Raptor name. A 2. 0 diesel is embarrassing and it has about 10HP more than the 3. 2 6cyl diesel. It's just not enough for the massive price premium.

No VAT back and 48k price you are taking the rise Ford who in there right mind will buy one of these in the UK, the choice of motor for 48K is vast, struggling to get my head around this one Ford.

Never owned or drove a Ford, but in my country Thailand, there are countless problems and customer complains around the cars. Really wonder what's it like in the USA and Europe.

Love my wildtrak. However if I want a raptor it'll be a F150. This isn't a ford performance vehicle, it's a two tonne truck with an engine you'd expect in a focus ST.

THIS IS NOT EURO FRIENDLY. In the uk it is NOT a commercial vehicle so business buyers wont be interested due to the no tax breaks you get on commercial vehicles

Here in the uk, it-ll be a sales flop. No business owner will buy this as you can-t claim the VAT back. I guess I-ll be replacing my Amarok with another Amarok.

I want to wait for UK owner-s videos. I-d be interested to see how it handles 6-6- traffic calming bollards. That thing (beautiful though it is) is WIDE.
