What I don't get is the people who are deriding this car, saying it's not a real NSX or they'd prefer any car but this. Here are some of the complaints answered.
1. -The design is dated since we have been seeing it for the past 4 years. - - Guess what, the Audi R8 design was about 3-4 years before it went into production. The Ford GT will take 2 years before it goes into production and its predecessor took 2 years plus as well. Alfa Romeo 4C, 2 years as well. Lexus LFA? The car that almost everyone loves? 10 years to develop, first concept shown in 2005 and 5 years later the car went into production at a sky-high price. The fact that Honda had to re-engineer this car and make it better seems to get not much attention from you guys.
2. -This isn't a real NSX- - You mean you know what a real NSX is and Honda/Acura, the creator of the car, does not? Go on, tell me some more. NSX stands for New-SportsCar-Experimental. It's meant to showcase the technologies relevant to enhancing the sportscar experience. Not about going back a decade to where everyone thinks this car should be at. Most of the people commenting on this thread probably can't afford this car, so why should Honda/Acura listen to you? How are you relevant to what they do with this car?
3. -The price is so high- - The price is just right. You want a raw experience for the same amount of money? Get the Porsche 911 GT3. You want a similar competitor (albeit lesser tech and finesse) for a lesser price? Go for a Nissan GTR. You want a more in-your-face kind of car? Go for the Audi R8 or the Mercedes AMG-GT. The NSX is priced where it should be. Just because the first gen costed something in the region of 60-90k when it first came out till the end of its production, doesn't mean this car should be the exact same price as the first gen was. You should take inflation into account as what you get on offer.
4. -It's so heavy- - At 1725kg, I admit it's not light. But that's the wet weight, which is the car filled up with all its liquids. Otherwise, it would weigh something in the region of 1600kg or so. Remove the hybrid aspects of the powertrain and the electric SH-AWD system, it'll probably be less than 1400kg. That isn't the point of the NSX though and this is the final product. Even the Nissan GTR is 1740kg, a car without hybridisation, but look how well it performs. The curb weight of the Porsche 918 is 1704kg. Ferrari 488 GTB wet weight is 13xx kg something yet when it has all the fluids, it weighs 1544kg. So learn to examine the details before whining.
There are many more arguments, but at this point, people are trying to purposely find fault with this car instead. The reviews have been good, wonder what your opinions count for if you haven't driven the car yet have enough money to afford would amount to.

So how much weight has been added just for 73bhp! If Honda cant make a twin turbo 3. 5Ltr engine produce 573bhp on its own then its a crap engine. Then needing 3 electric motors to produce just 73bhp isn't really very amazing is it. No wonder they are so far behind in F1 if that's the best they can do. How much would the power to weight ratio be without the electric motors and surely that would benefit handling, fuel, braking ect ect. Its pointless electronic showoffery for no real world benefit. So please stop looking at what a car can do and start looking at what it should have been able to do and mark them accordingly.

All the reviews for the NSX are trash. This is a great car for actually driving on roads. Most supercar owners dont do trackdays anyways. What Honda of NA, did was create a car which has accessible performance thats designed for actual, real world driving experience.
This is probably the only car in its segment that owners wont mind driving everyday. Also, its the first generation. In 2-3 years and updated version will surely silence all the complaints.

I know they're looking for economy and cutting edge tech but I can't help but think, getting rid of the electric mode side of things and shuffling around some components to even out weight balance, rear drive only, that the standard engine & what like 200kg+ removed from the car would have made the it faster and more of a drivers car! Maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure they'll end up doing exactly that for a sepcial version and charge 1/3 of the cost on top!

Give it a chance guys it's been 20 years since the original, Honda USA has been meddling with the secret sauce of the DNA its no wonder it's heavy and less agile, since the day they started racing the Honda HSV I thought they would've been on the right path and then the economy crashed, so this is what we get. This is Honda we're talking about, they make track day versions of their best cars, they call them Type R. There is still hope.

Give it a chance guys it's been 20 years since the original, Honda USA has been meddling with the secret sauce of the DNA its no wonder it's heavy and less agile, since the day they started racing the Honda HSV I thought they would've been on the right path and then the economy crashed, so this is what we get. This is Honda we're talking about, they make track day versions of their best cars, they call them Type R. There is still hope.

Good review. All the people crying for the old car buy it and then race it against this new one. Left in the dust. All the people who want to buy the Audi or Lamborghini. Go ahead and have it break down all the time. All the people who want the software ridden Maclaren go ahead and drive a experimental vehicle which gets more software updates than windows 8 pc.

Kinda sad. Basically a copy of the Audi R8, and a boring copy without the v8 or v10. What happened to you Honda? Do you only care about safety and fuel consumption now? You want to win back your fans? Lay off the turbo stuff. Give us lightweight, high revving, natural aspirated sports cars like the originals (s2000, NSX, Civic.

This is 2016, why would we choose a NSX over a R8? I'm sure with just a little more a Porsche 991 turbo S would smack this thing in every single way you can think of: prestige, power, looks, comfort, cornering, braking. In the 90s their was nothing so the NSX easily jumped in supercar territory, but this is 2016

I think it's a masterpiece. It just doesn't belong to the name -NSX-. When someone says Honda NSX, I think of the original NSX not this. Maybe if Honda named it something else, people would show more respect.
In my opinion this is a GT-R, but better in every aspect. It's certainly not a NSX though.

I see no reason for not getting an R8 with that money.
Absurd design language, rough V6 sound, hefty curb weight, not-very-impressive interior and loads of electronic interference. Acura, you just built a car that is everything that people are not looking for.
