What a difference time makes: The mp4-12c made Ferrari look like Toyota in reliability. Hence you can buy one for less than an F430 now. Haven-t been in a 12c yet where everything was actually working, or was still working a month later. Mclaren could-ve been a contender, but it seems they must-ve done a lowest bid contract for electronics development. Maybe Lucas? -

Clearly the MP4 12c is not a match for the F1 GTR. Ok, how about the latest one? When you get a P1, drag the old girl out again and compare. I'd rather like to see a comparison, on a dry track, between an old F1 GTR and a Ferrari La Ferrari. I don't think anyone's going to be in a screaming great rush to do that.

This is a horrible comparison, the McClaren is a race car turned for the street. Everyone knows the stock f1 was faster and easier to drive than the tuned down race version. Plus the stock F1 was silent, and this one looks like you can hardly hear youself think. Thats not even mentioning the interior.

the mclaren f1 is the tip top of my dream car list. i have dream cars for every possible life direction i could take, and if I'm a successful person, then the f1 will be the car i'd die in. but today, i -own- a 997, sitting at a bmw dealer.

the f1 was the fastest car on earth before bulgatti on the 19th centuary is obius that it's faster then the 12c that is only 205 mph in difference to the f1 wich is around 240-260 mph.

on wet roads the newer mclaren has a lot of advantageous edges over the older one, yet the older one still won. dry track the old mclaren would DESTROY the new one.

Mclaren F1 is one of the greatest cars Ever made. Don't forget Ford's GT90, It was the fastest and most powerful in 1995 unfortunately it was just a prototype. :(

Thought they were going to compare it to the regular F1. OBVIOUSLY the GTR destroys the 12C. I would compare the F1 GTR to the regular P1 see how they compare

but why compare the GTR version that has lower horsepower(due to regulation) and not the standard version which has more horsepower and less drag
