I'm sure everyone will like the moonroof. I know everyone wanted that and many wanted AWD. I suspect the extra weight and the larger engine will reduce gas mileage. I have a 2023 Kicks, and I get 26-38 MPG around town and 38-48. 8 MPG on the expressway. I really like my gas mileage. I also like the front of my Kicks better: the V-motion grill, and it has quite a bit of chrome versus the new model which seems to have none. However, I realize all cars have moved to slit headlights, I suspect to reduce the glare for other drivers from Led headlights. On the other side, the added weight will keep the car from blowing in heavy winds and maybe the larger engine will offer more quiet idling and acceleration. I like the red touches on the inside. I thought those were attractive in the remodeled Versa although they looked more subdued in the Versa, something I liked. I'm also pretty happy with the ample cargo space I currently have and the size of my car. And as I already said, I like my front end better. I also have black wheels, which I like. I'm a fan of more rounded cars versus boxy cars. I love the Rogue version that is smaller and rounded. Since I wrote this, I did see an actual preproduction model of the car, the actual car. It looks much nicer in person both outside and in. I was quite impressed with most of it. It even has a pull down cupholder and arm rest in the back, something everyone said they missed on smaller cars. But I bet the price will be so much higher. I liked the low price of my Kicks.

Wow this looks good! Plus it has AWD. I guess this explains why Nissan never brought the redesigned Qashqai over to NA. In Canada, it is still being sold but in the US, the Rogue Sport ended sales a few years ago.
The features and price will be key on the new Kicks. Keep it low and it will sell well.

Two and three: heightening the belt line and narrowing the rear window, both of which impede outward visibility. Four: adding weight to one of the lightest new vehicles on sale in the US. Five: increasing powertrain displacement from the 1. 6 liter to the 2. 0 liter. I know that Nissan, like any manufacturer, has to constantly revise their product offering to stay competitive, but I think that these changes are in the wrong direction. What market pressures dissuade manufacturers from developing or maintaining small hatchbacks

I own a 2022 Kicks SR and drive mostly in an urban/suburban environment. For my typical driving needs, the Kicks is great! Has all the safety and comfort features, with enough pep in the 0-40mph range even with the 1. 6 engine. This new Kicks addresses many of the wish list items I have for the current models. AWD option, slightly more width and length, and still with a long list of safety and technology features. If this can be had for a similar price as the current model, sign me up all the way! If it is significantly more expensive (I’m thinking the SR with AWD) then I’m not sure if the value proposition will be as strong as the current model.

I am sure the price will go up on the top trim SR Premium like I have since they added AWD, Panoramic Roof and more features to this 2025. I love my 2023 Nissan Kicks SR Premium and all its features, room, mpg and styling. I will definitely buy this updated Kicks in 2026 or so once all the first year bugs are worked out of the 2025 Kicks. I must say Nissan hit a home run with this! Wow!

I liked your comment about most times people are driving around by themselves, so if you really want to save money, weight, and complexity make more two door models, if someone really needs to ride in the back they can push the passenger seat forward and get in that way, it is the least they can do to get a ride from you.
Not crazy about the shelf that runs under the screens, seems useless without some sort of carving out of the middle of it so you can use it for small bit storage. Everything else looks appealing.

If they can bring the SR to market for under $28k they will have a huge hit on their hands. Kia has really dropped the ball on the Soul in the past couple years. The Kicks used to compete head to head with the Soul, and the Kia was unquestionably better in most ways, but now that prices have increased, the interior is a bit dated, they killed off the turbo, and you still can't get AWD, the Nissan seems like a much better option overall. I just hope Nissan offers some fun colors.

I will never buy a Nissan as long as they keep offering the Jatco CVT. I’ve personally had terrible experiences with Jatco CVT and will never have one again. Nissan also needs to offer better engines. I am not hopeful for the brand as they seem to be becoming more and more like Mitsubishi which is just not competitive. The Kicks getting slower and more expensive doesn’t really seem like they get it. They just made the Kicks a Rogue Sport

Folks I will give you a tip for your new baby 2025 kicks
I personal use royal purple oil which protects and maintain you engine specially lubricates all parts better and remember from factory the car uses a cardboard oil filter again I use k&n oil filter or you can go with royal purple oil filter both are really good I also use k&n air filter royal purple oil increase hp and torque for 5%

I honestly wasn't expecting Nissan to refresh the Kicks, was at the autoshow 2 weeks ago and even the last generation Kicks was still one of the better appointed entry level SUV's on the market. The only real negative was the engine power and lack of AWD, still a bit lacking in terms of power for what it is but that is a welcome change regardless.

The only real negative was the engine power and lack of AWD, still a bit lacking in terms of power for what it is but that is a welcome change regardless.

That’s a big oof not coming with at least a manual transmission option. Seen too many forums/video on mechanics draining Nissan cvt transmissions just to find the fluid went metallic grey with all the broken bits and shards of their soon to be wrecked cvt’s. Too put off to ever consider a cvt let alone a Nissan cvt for long reliable years of use.

So my guess is the US wont get the new rogue sport since the kicks has grown into its slot in the market. But does this mean we might get a new juke I was disappointed nissan never brought the 2nd gen juke to the US because it looked really cool and it would be nice to have a performance focused entry that isnt from a luxury brand.

I currently own a 2015 Nissan Versa Note which I'll keep until the wheels fall off unless this excellent Kicks comes with manual. I really like my CVT, I have the fluid changed every 30, 000 miles but all the Scotty Kilmers of the world make me uneasy. My Note is faultless and I rented a Kicks whilst on vacation and loved it. 9: 29

I understand why not having the personal Bose speakers on the passenger side is a good compromise but I know my hearing impaired girlfriend would love having that feature while we’re driving around. It’s not much but a feature like that in something that’s not a Mercedes or BMW can mean a lot to some

I wish Nissan, chevy, mazda, hyuandi, kia would give us the same small cuv/suvs as are available in mexico. Not everyone wants, or needs a honking big vehicle. As for, this nissan, it is inexcusable for any manufacturer to bring a new or mostly new vehicle to market without a hybrid as standard or optional.

It doesn’t matter how good it looks as long as they keep putting that crappy unreliable cvt in it. Everyone I know that’s bought a Nissan in the last 10 years ( including me ) say they will probably never buy one again. With that kind of customer dissatisfaction that company will always suffer.

Ever since I started considering the Frontier I've been hoping Nissan can turn it around since the Frontier seems like a really good truck. If they don't go insane with MSRPs like the other brands and just keep the designs simple, Nissan could become a winner.

The new Kicks is really replacing the Rogue Sport. It may have a base price under $25k but the big sellers will probably be around $27-30k. I really didn't mind that the previous Kicks was FWD only because it was small and affordable.

You left out probably the biggest direct competitor, the Chevy Trax which, I think, is #2 in sales in the segment. I would think that will limit price increases as the Kicks is already more expensive than the Trax.

I really wish Nissan would send some of the e-power from their Japanese cars over to America. Even as an optional engine. And with the increasing size of the Kicks, I wonder what Nissan will do about the Rogue Sport.
