Watch this video to see what it’s like on Private Jets for Everyone! You'll see how to fly on airlines that almost nobody talks about! These Practically Private Jets mean no crowds, zero hassles, and private airports. Join us on this special journey to find out how you can fly like a celebrity for a day! We'll show you how the celebrities fly in their billionaire luxury lifestyle! You'll see two airlines that cater to that special billionaire lifestyle! First, we’ll introduce you to Aero on a journey from Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles to Las Vegas. We’ll show you their cushy Italian leather seats and super high-end service on a 45 minute flight. We’ll give Aero a JebScore, which will allow us to rate their lounge, seat, food, inflight entertainment, and service! After a delicious lunch in Fabulous Las Vegas, we’ll hop onboard a flight with JSX to Burbank. We’ll see what it’s like to fly Aero’s chief rival and their special service. Again, they’ll get a JebScore. Once this unforgettable trip is done, we’ll share exactly how much you can expect to pay for these flights. Then, you can decide whether this hassle-free flying is worth it to you! We'll give you a flavor of how Part 135 and Part 135 regulations work as compared to the more common Part 121 flying. But, for more about how these Part 135 flights work, we recommend checking out this article in one of our favorite publications, The Air Current: 0: 00 Introduction 0: 51 Aero 5: 52 JSX 9: 41 Prices 10: 29 Bloopers Get a personal video from me! My wife and I just did a weekend in Phoenix from Salt Lake. JSX was our first time. Seems almost unreal to arrive 25 minutes before takeoff, hand your luggage to an attendant who swabs them with explosive detecting material, sit down for about 5 minutes before being called to board.
We passed one at a time through a last stop and had our ID's checked on more time and then out to the plane, about 100 yards away. As all the reservations were on board, they closed the door and off we went. Only 8 passengers on the way down. When we got to Scottsdale Airport, Go Rentals inside their terminal was waiting and we were in our car (right outside the door) no more than 15 minutes from the time we deplaned.
The ride home was the same with 25 passengers, except we had a ride waiting for us right outside the door.
It is a bit disorienting. Flying with these guys saves you at least 90 minutes each way. For our 3: 45 departure, we left the house at 2: 50 - 25 minute drive. Flying Delta, we would have had to have left at least an hour earlier.
$240 each way, so roughly what Delta was charging for First Class, which on a one hour flight isn't much to brag about. If you're in Salt Lake and are headed to LA (Burbank and John Wayne, Phoenix, or Vegas, this is something you really need to check out.

I flew on Aero air back in the 1980s. There was a charter flight from Portland, Oregon to Montego Bay, Jamaica, granted the airplane was rather elderly, but maybe that was just when they were starting up. I don’t know if it’s the same Aero airline, but we have a great flight and a great vacation in Jamaica for a really good price! I will say we did joke about the airline then because it was rather shabby and we flew at night so there was no food service or even drink service, we called it Fred’s airline and cropdusting service and I guess I should be ashamed now if it’s the same Aero air but if it is, they started out rough, but it looks like they have really done well! Good for them

While I dread TSA lines and check ins (we travel with kids and a dog) the lack of screening bothers me. Too many people up to no good these days. As these airlines become better known, and the lack of screening is advertised in videos like yours, the loophole will be exploited. I'd only get on one of these flights if there was no other option to get where I needed to be in a hurry. Perhaps these airlines do some sort of passive background check when the flight is booked. However unlikely, I do not want me or mine to become a statistic. I do not fly Spirit either. Have not been that broke or desperate yet.

Well as the FAA has been gutted by the current administration of staff those potential new rules may be on hold for awhile. Interesting though have heard of a similar thing where I live on the other side of the planet but no idea what the cost is but they usually do things like offering seats on their deadhead runs where they are going somewhere to say run a charter flight or to fly say a big star like Tay-Tay and her entourage but rather than fly empty you can buy seats on them so more adhoc and for those who are very flexible with their travel plans.

Black paint isn't any heavier than white paint. Every airplane is painted. Most of them go with white for heat reasons.
Also, aside from the legal controversy, there's controversy over these small planes in general because they're so much less fuel efficient per passenger than commercial jets. It's not as bad as an actual private jet but it's still part of the enviromental issues around small jets and air travel in general. Honestly, promoting these services is pretty gross.

I can relate to the security hassle. I’ve flown from San Francisco to Las Vegas on Frontier. They use the International Terminal. Around the same time an Emirates A380 leaves from the same gate area. That means over 500 people are going through security at the same time. You really do need to be there two hours in advance at a minimum. Was it worth it for a $25 fare Only you can decide. This option would make a lot of sense if you’re pressed for time.

I had just booked my first JSX tickets last week. For our annual Fall trip to Reno/Tahoe. They were having a great sale, and I got roundtrip Burbank to Reno for $350. That's only $100 more than Southwest. That extra $100 is so worth it as no airport or TSA hassle. Plus no bag fees.
I'm so excited! I did not pay the extra $40/each way for seat selection. With only 30 seats and no middle. I'm fine with them selecting for me. Save me $80. : )

The real advantage you should be looking for is security, and time saved. I fly private all the time and JSX for the money is what you'd go for, AERO is quite pricey considering the $5-8k/hr operational costs of a private jet. JSX staff are also incredible and that business model for a business traveller (mostly) like me is a game changer. Open up a GA route and life would be perfect on the road.

Used to be you had to be rich to fly. Now you have to be rich to get anything out of flying.
Did you know that you were actually breaking the law by standing and filming on that pedestrian overpass in Vegas Weird new law just came into effect to where people are not allowed to stay in one place on the overpasses. Not sure if Metro ever does anything about it.

BUR is my preferred airport to fly into for LA/SD, if my goal is to get to downtown LA, because Amtrak is literally right across the street, less than a ten minute walk from the terminals! Nice comfortable ride to LA Downtown, and faster than the ride from LAX (although the people mover connecting LAX to the light rail will make that a little faster.

I'd heard to JSX before, but never Aero.
Honestly both of these companies bother me. They are airlines that are acting like they aren't.
Their pricing is fine, but in my eyes they don't qualify for Part 135. They have scheduled flights.
It makes me worry, if they're willing to ignore that rule, what other rules are they ignoring

I despise commercial flying and airport chaos. I'm a driver and prefer to drive everywhere. But IF I HAVE to fly, then I'll fly first/business class for the most comfort. But this seems like the perfect way to fly REAL first class for a rate similar to commercial first class and without the typical airport hassles. I might try it soon. Thanks!

There is a private airline that operates out of Concord, Ca. Buchanan Field and it goes to and from Las Vegas on a daily basis. You might want to do a video on that. I think they are JSX but can't remember. Concord is 10 miles from Martinez Ca where I live and about 25 miles from San Francisco and no TSA hassle as I understand it.

I would really like to see these kinds of airlines become more popular. Even without the fancy frills, the fundamental idea of operating smaller regional jets out of FBOs and avoiding TSA is huge. Virtually all the pain of air travel is removed if you can just park near your exact terminal/plane a few minutes before departure.
reply

Not to be a downer but how was security gaining access to the lounge and departure. Should we be concerned there is no TSA or is it really not needed I mean would the next evil mastermind target JSX and AERO Are the Cockpit doors locked are the bags screened, etc. Generally do they need to ramp up security or not

I'd love to fly like this everywhere! Less people; no security; excellent WI-FI. I'm sure on longer flights there's more food selections! Wish they'd fly from Seattle to Houston! That was a very enjoyable, short video. Oh and that was neat you put IN N OUT ad in there! I'm from So. Calif and I LOVE IN N OUT!

This was a cool video, I agree with the jebscore and if I were a pilot myself I would choose aero in a heartbeat. JSX as a mainstream competitor really does fit in with the american dream so great for american aviation enthusiasts. Thanks for enlightening me to 2 great airlines I never previously knew about.
reply

I only have my private pilots license. But to my Knowledge part 135 can also skirt the requirements for maintenance and how much they require for checks. etc.
I hope FAA shuts this stuff down or requires tougher requirements.
Many accidents tend to seem under part 135.
Not a fan

I wish Aero and JSX flew to Chicago. I'm moving back to Chicago next week but have been living in the Palm Springs area for the last year. Either one of these airlnes should serve PSP-LAX, a short market which is very under served. Only United Express has one flight a day on this route.

I own my own aircraft. A Lear 45. And I have my own crew. Based in key West Florida. There is nothing good about owning an aircraft. it's an expense the moment you get it. And it keeps on giving!
It does give you a sense of convenience. You do have to weigh the pros and cons.
