Over the years, cold showers have seen an increase in popularity, mainly due to external influences like professional athletes using ice baths to recover from intense training. Not only that, but there s been a lot of hype on mainstream wellness and fitness circles claiming that simply taking a cold shower, every day, can drastically improve your life. For example, some experts claim that cold showers boost testosterone, improve your immune system, reduce depression and anxiety, improve circulation, increase alertness, and reduce inflammation. With claims like that floating around the internet, it becomes very tempting to start the day with a cold shower. But the question becomes, are cold showers REALLY that good for you? And if so, can they actually boost muscle growth? That s what we will answer in this video!

Wait so cold water Immersion is a possible killer of gains, not showers. There wasn't any evidence given for cold showers explicit effect on muscle growth so the title isn't very valid and instead, a bit misleading. Love your stuff mate, but this one is a head scratcher Hopefully this subject has an increase in scientific research because at the end of the day, we all just want what's best for our temples

Obviously, you don't take a cold shower after your blood vessels and muscles are dilated from working out. Rather, you take a cold shower in the morning to boost cortisol and wake up. There are also longevity benefits that cannot be overlooked. Personally, I start with likewarm to warm water and finish off (i. e. rinse) with cool or cold, afterward.

Way to strawman the studies. Cold water immersion is bad for muscle gains, such as ice baths, not cold showers. HUGE difference.
Yes there's no evidence showing cold showers boost muscle gains, but there's no evidence showing that it's bad either. So titling this as cold showers are killing your gains is intellectually dishonest.

Cold showers after a workout definitely helps with recovery. I take one almost daily and I haven't noticed any decrease in strength or muscle mass.

Generally speaking I think if someone is focused on the temperature of their shower as it relates to muscle gains they are missing the point.
