Watch the full interview here: Ryan Deffley: Normal walking is great for recovery purposes and health wellness. That's why I enjoy one long hike p/wk. But for cardio, I've come to realize that less is more. Especially with how vital lifting and eating protocol are to body comp. These days I'll do 5-10 mins of met con after I hit full body 3x p/wk, and then 2x p/wk I'll do 20-30 mins of hill sprints. That's it. Let me tell you, I feel 10x better and have way better physique progress than when I was doing tons of steady state.

Very informative bro, I basically started to weight train one month ago, got a training plan from a chap who is into bodybuilding, I am really not to keen now to train, can't pay for a personal trainer, I really would like to have a fit looking body once in my life. Thoughts on cutting out sugars when trying to build muscle or cut? i like to eat around 40-50g of carb in the form of candy each day mainly after or before a workout. will this make me gain more fat during my bulk?

Howdy Jeff, I have a question for you. Do you always adjust your lever belt so tight? I ask because it would seem somewhat hard to create IAP from having a belt so flush against the midsection.

So I am roughly 20% body fat. I want to get stronger on my lifts but I also want to see definition. Should I cut, then bulk? Whats the best route to go?

Can you do a vid on breathing techniques. Especially for the Overhead Press. I've seen a bunch of vids on this subject but none satisfied the question.
