Best advice for calves muscles came from Arnold himself.
Because the calves are used every single day in walking etc they don't respond to a normal training routine like 1-2 times/week. It simplu is not challenging enough.
You have to train them heavy every single day at the beginning of your workout. No matter what muscles you work that day always start with calves then move on to your actual workout.
4-5 sets of standing raises
4-5 sets of donkey raises
4-5 sets of sitting raises
Mix the toes orientation.
Tried this and in 2 months I had a few good centimetres added to my calves

Calves are tricky for those who have bad genetics. They are sure not as appealing as any other muscles by default / in the first place. But it does not mean that we cannot train them and make them grow. Sometimes people forget that they do not train them as hard as any other muscles, or they haven-t even trained them yet! But when they train them 3x per week, just like any other muscles, doing the proper exercises, running, sprinting, or isolation movements, such as calf raises with a controlled full stretch and contraction, they surely will grow.

The calves are really, more-so than any other muscle group, genetically predetermined. It doesn-t mean they will not grow from the stresses of exercise but, you will have to really target them and be patient with the growth that occurs. The best calf workout for myself has always been extremely slow rising and declining calf raises off a ledge of some sort. Allow your heal to really go into the negative on the way down so that your foot is basically pointing upward, stretching the entirety of the muscle. Doing it really slow is key here as well.

Me who is 13 already done a buttox workout. An abs workout and about to do this workout and then work on them arms -
Go down to the park and use the things down there
Go for a walk
P. s the reason why I'm doing this
Is because I just feel like doing it
And also I need to get fitter as for I ride horses and trust me you don't just sit on the horse
It requires strength as calf muscles core muscles

i hate my calves bc my thighs are super muscular and my calves are small asf
it looks so weird and when i take a pic with friends or even other random girls, my calves look short and weak
idk if this is a problem but when i straighten my legs, there isn-t any curve from my thighs-calves. i never seen anyone have this problem

Here's a work out to get your calves sore in 6 minutes.
Walk in gym.
Seated calf raises. Go heavy. Go for ten or more.
5 sets. 30 sec to 1 min rest.
Stand up
Fall down
Stand up
Leave gym. Mission complete

Question: chronic knee issues through sports, the first exercise has a lot of knee load. Should I push through the range of motion with a little discomfort or find something lower impact?
