People still use HDDs for storage and will for awhile I have at least 14 tb of storage that is full I would like to upgrade to larger HDDs for future storage

There is no good way to phrase this, so I'm just gonna say it.
If you are in the market for 9900K and 2080Ti and can't wait, keep boutique in mind.
Due to lack of supply from primary seller and price gauging by third party sellers, buying the parts right now carry a ridiculous markup. Boutiques aren't particularly affected by that (just like during the start of the mining craze)
Now, if you can wait, by all means, do that, the price should come down. eventually.
But if you can't, at this exact moment, boutique could be a better deal.
I've checked out 4 boutiques yesterday, and for the rig I had in mind both cyberpowerpc and NZXT BLD can beat pcpartpicker atm while ibuypower more or less break even (though ibuypower offer free shipping at the time of check while cyberpowerpc didn't, so that's a thing)
For some unknown reason though, Origin cost 800+ more than all the others, so. dah faq?
And for those who are curious, here is the config I was looking at (roughly, since not all parts are available/pickable on all sites)
Case: mid-high end, like Obsidian 500D
CPU: 9900K, 360mm AIO
Mobo: Z390 mid-high end, such as Taichi (but not ultimate)
GPU: after market PCB 2080Ti, you know, the expensive ones
PSU: 850 gold brand named (I favor EVGA but. any trusted brand is fine)
RAM: 16GB 3000 (I have 32GB on my old rig, so this is kinda placeholdery)
Storage: 500GB 970 Evo (like RAM, I plan to do most of this myself)
win 10 home, some frails like -better- thermal paste, a bit more case fan etc picked.
NZXT, BLD&cyberpowerpc came back at -3000
pcpartpicker, ibuypower came back at -3200
Origin. 4000
To be clear(and repeat, I'm not saying buy boutique, that is GENERALLY a bad thing. This only apply for specifically 9900K+2080Ti, where there is a price gouging problem. The primary advice is always to wait until the parts are more reasonably priced. But if you can't wait, keep an open mind and at least check the -competition-. Of course, price of everything is subject to change. If this sound familiar, this is pretty much the same problem as the mining craze.
And no, don't buy a prebuild, even if it's cheaper than boutique. Most prebuild comes with a second rate PSU, you don't want to risk that with your top tier components.

Hey can I get suggestions on whether I should upgrade my pc or get the Spider-Man ps4 slim bundle on Black Friday? My pc is holding up decently with most games expect the newer titles like BF5, and I-m looking to get a new cpu and upgrade the SSD, but on the other hand the PS4 has the exclusive Spider-Man game and red dead 2. Which one would be better to go with?

So I'm real casual and travel light. I only use a laptop and no consoles but I want to update for current gen games. my old geezer struggles with The Witcher. The first one. I could look at a premade rig if it was good price but I'm not experienced with assembling from parts. Any advice for a noobthusiest from y'all pro techs & gamers? Peace

If you are doing a new build and going to wait for 1 part for Black Friday or Cyber Monday you might as well wait for all parts. 1 part is going to stall your build anyway. I agree that it is unlikely you will find a deal if you have very specific parts in mind vs shopping for a budget build in which you buy whichever part in on sale.

Still running i5-3470 and GTX 1060 6G, no plans to upgrade until 2020 even with a 4K display. RAM prices will drop by then, DDR5 will be out, ray-tracing will be affordable and more widely supported, Intel will finally be on 10nm and might even have their graphics cards out by then, Navi+. no reason to buy anything right now

RAM has been droppppppingggg. Most 16gb (8x2) RGB set has been consistently going for $150+ for a couple of years. Now, before Black Friday, I've seen sets as low as $105-115 (G-skill, geil from what I've personally seen. IF there are sales on BF, I'd say they'd definitely go for under $100.

I was debating upgrading to a 9600k or 9700k from my 3770k on Black Friday. Saw the benchmarks and temps and decided it's better to wait for zen2. If zen2 lives up to the hype, I will be leaving Intel. Never thought I'd say that.

HDD are still must buys ( SSD are for boot/programs that need a speed boost) HDD are used for steam libraries/etc. People trust what is being said be careful with your influence.
