I can't get Shadow of War to launch reliably. It just crashes most of the time when i try to launch it.
It often just opens the loading screen and crashes even before the -SHADOW OF MORDOR- -text shows up.
Edit: I resolved the problem. The problem was with Shadow of War giving a pop-up of missing DirectX 11 support. For whatever reason, deleting the render.cfg (make backup of the file first) launches the game every time.
But this brings up a new problem. If you change graphics settings in-game, it creates a new render.cfg file, after which it has to be deleted again for the game to launch. Also it always used the default low resolution when no render.cfg exists and even providing only screen width and height parameters in the config file, the game launches, but I didn't notice a change in resolution.

I really appreciate this video. I think this gonna help the people who're scared of using linux, believing it as a foreign platform. And, those who're blaming it for being unfavourable to play games cause of unstable drivers (although that's just cause of nvidia), creepy look, painful configurations or whatever. This video is really impressive. I mean if people begin to explore linux and gamers start using it for their fun and professionals for their office related stuffs, then I'm sure linux will rise up as the best alternative.

Wow, beautiful picture! You really know your stuff! You got pretty deep in the file, (356190) one missed type and is it all screwed up? How much can you increase a render setting? Will the settings be saved or do we need to adjust each time. Fantastic information !!! I guess we should have done this in Windows, too.

Hi Chris,
After making the comment on your other video, I did end up finding this video and I thank you for making it. I have followed your settings but I don't have the 3.16-6 option. I have 3.16-4 and 3.16-8 beta. I have tried both with no success. Do you have any suggestions?

Tks man, just one detail: There is a config called -Dynamic Resolution- (or something like this, my game is in portuguese) turn it off, because if you are using a old graphic card (like mine which is a GTX 750 TI) this option is active, and this make the graphics looks like crap...

1) if you want contribute to gaming on linux, consider submitting a report on protondb .
2) what bitrate are you recording? IMO I think it's slightly too low.
3) keep it up . sorry for my english grammar.

The game is native to Linux because you are using the Wine version of valve.
I'm going to buy this game since it runs natively without needing these wine or proton adaptations.

Off topic question: Any particular reason why you are not using kde apps for file manager and text editor? Just curious. Keep up the good work by the way. Peace.

I know I freaked out when you said you were going to try OpenSUSE, but I'm glad to see it's working out for you. Can't imagine what I was doing wrong on my machines.
