How to Create Modern Excel Data Entry Form - EASY & NO VBA - Kevin Stratvert learn how to create a modern Excel data entry form. With Microsoft Forms in Excel, you can connect a form or survey directly to your Excel sheet. You can create any number of questions, including multiple choice, free form text, drop downs, Likert scales, and more. You can make questions required, set validation criteria, limit responses to your organization, and much more. Once your survey or form is done, you can share using a link, QR code, or even embed the form into a web site. When respondents submit the form, the results go directly into your Excel spreadsheet and show up instantaneously. You can even build charts, pivot tables, and more from the results and they'll update as soon as additional form submissions arrive. To use this functionality, you need either a work or school Microsoft 365 account. - Additional resources - Office.com: https://www.office.com - Microsoft Forms Overview video: https://youtu.be/ouFKWHQMxtQ

Hi Kevin. This is the first time I have been to your site and you explained one part of what I needed so well, I decided to write and ask you about the other part. I am part of a team and we have a request form for our colleagues to use when they need assistance. When a request comes in, our team receives an alert and we all go in to see on the excel side and someone completes the rest of the spreadsheet with who is going to assist with the work and the status of the work until completion. Recently, someone on our team went in and added the requests directly onto the spreadsheet on behalf of the requester. This caused some errors like the number of the request that is automatically populated and the status section which has conditional formatting in it. In addition, now when a requester adds something to the form at times it does not show up in the excel spreadsheet. I was wondering if there is a way to correct these issues? I thank you for any assistance you can give!

Good video, but not quite what I need. I am creating an Excel spreadsheet to record all my crypto activity, I had hoped that -forms- would be the entry solution as I require the abiliity to add new Crypto to the list of cryptos I have. So, I want to have a simple form that will be called whenever I need to add a crypto, so, what EXCEL function will be able to achieve this? Also, each crypto Token will have to record a set of specific data, so, is the solution to create a Base Table template, then use that to record the data, but, that new table data will need to be included with the other Token data already garnered.

Kevin, can you help? I designed the MS form with Excel to collect my data from a MS form. Numbers appear on the left of their column in excel (indicating text format) rather than on the right (number format). If I go into data/Text to Columns I can change the format of the numbers. Can I set the spreadsheet or form to allow the number to change to the correct format?

Thanks Kevin. Can I use Microsoft Forms to view data after it has been entered - like with a data entry form, where you can scroll through the rows? I'd like to have something like a data entry form, but with a bit more flexibility in terms of presentation for the user. I think I could do this with a VBA user form. Is that still the best way?

I've now seen ways to make fillable forms with Excel, Word and a third party site to make a PDF. version...and now I don't know which I need to use. I don't really have a form preference, I guess. I just want my customer to fill it out and then the data to link to MS Access. What do I use to create the form to link to MS Access?

Hello, it seems that the option under Settings -> Who can fill out this form -> Anyone can respond, is limited to only questions without the upload file option. Is there a work around to that so I can share the form with people outside my organization and include a file upload option? Thank you!

Hey there! I think this is great! Question... based on privacy/security settings, we cannot store customer data on SharePoint or Teams sites...so will the form automatically save the data within the inter webs (or intra webs ;))? Thanks, H

I think the data entry guy needs to be careful when making this form. I hear the Kevin Cookie Company boss can be pretty hard core about his cookies -_-
