Listen To Podcasts In The Terminal With Castero DistroTube In this video, I'm going to discuss a neat terminal-based podcast client called Castero. It is written in Python and licensed under the MIT license. Light and minimal with just enough functionality built in to it. - https://github.com/xgi/castero

I tried to do a Google search for this, and it's giving me Castro Podcast player. nothing about Castero. I found it, and was able to get it running on the Mac. One thing I'll give here is, if you have multiple versions of python installed, use the pip connected with the python install you want to use. For me I did pip3 install Castero, and all seems good.

Am I the only one having an issue with Joe Rogans feed? Every other podcast seems to be working. But Joe Rogans just stays blank with no episodes. I also tried it in VLC with the same results so I guess its his feed that is having issues, not castero.

This is a great podcast tool.I like the fact if I'm working on something that is resource intensive I can listen to podcasts without a drag on my system

Looks very useful, uncomplicated and pretty clean in the 2 column layout. TUI? Never heard that before. Great find and thanks for the video.

you turned on to pianobar, which is a terminal client for Pandora. I use it a lot. Now I have a podcast interface, too. COOL!

Just checked on this, and it requires VLC Media Player as a dependency. Is that really necessary for a terminal application?
