Thank you sir for nice and clear video, I have a question pleas. I make a table that contains in culomn A doctors names and the headers in row1 is the month date. Inside the table all the cells has data validation with departments in hospital to make a monthly rota shift for the doctors. The list of the data valedation contains (main department, long shift, short shift, emergency, operation room, DAY OFF).
I want to make a conditional FORMATING THAT IF I CHOOSE -long shift- from the data validation automatically gives this doctor -DAY OFF- for the next day and color the cell of -DAY OFF- in red.
How can I do that.( For example if I choose in C5 -long shift- automatically mak D5 -DAY OFF- with red background in B5.) thank you.

Thank you.
I actually used to use Conditional Formatting a lot, but now I can NOT do what I used to do with it anymore?!
I used to have a list of dates and I would highlight all dates 'before today' as red, all 'today' as orange and all after today no highlight. So, now I can still set the 'today' as yellow. I can set 'yesterday' or 'last week' or 'last month', but not all 'before today' including things from months or years ago. Or at least I can't work out how. Any idea?

Hi Kevin, i run a lot of reports in excel. whenever i export a report, i always have to format the spreadsheet to the way i want it. i want to know if there is a way to have the cell formatted the way i want as a default so i don't need to repeat these steps for every new report. i'm talking about formatting cells like; row height, dotted boarder line, text always wrapped and freeze the top row. it's redundant and annoying to have to repeat these steps for every single report.

Hi,
I am trying to format dates in the future beyond next month. So I have one colour format for last month, one for this month and I need one to show dates beyond next month. I am using the following formula, but it just doesn't seem to work.
=AND($E15>TODAY(),$E15>=(TODAY()>30))
I have also tried >60 days but still doesn't work.
I would appreciate some advice.

Is there a way to turn the highlighting as the actual format of the cell? Let's say that I've highlighted (via conditional formatting) a bunch of cells with BOLD text format. Now the highlighted cells appear as bold, but you can't find and select them by that formatting.

How can you use the ''equal to'' preset conditional formatting in excel to format multiple values in a range at once and not one at a time? Or if there is a better alternative to this conditional formatting, what is it, please?
