Next to Photopea (recommended with subscription) you could also use GIMP3, GIMP3 is almost on par with Adobe Photoshop, the differences are negligible. You can even easily install custom icons and a custom layout of the icons and menus to make it look the same as Photoshop so that Photoshop uers can immediately easily use it. So try it out, just make sure that you use version 3. I recommend Windows-users to already use software like GIMP3, LibreOffice, Krita, MuseScore, KDEnlive, DaVinci Resolve, Blender and Thunderbird. That way if you want to jump to another operating system then it will be a much easier transition because you can keep doing what you are doing. By the way, for audioproduction Linux also is great, Arch has all the pro-audio programs in the repository. Lot of neural modeling amps for electricital guitar, good support for recording, MiDi and DAW's. Not all DAW's but it is available.

I find it a bit weird to change the name of a device just because of whatever OS it ships with, that OS can be changed. In my opinion ChromeOS is Linux-- , a much more restricted Linux-like experience. Nothing that ChomreOS can do can't be done by Linux, at least as long as it uses the Linux-kernel (and not Fuchsia).
However, for the ordinary user ChromeOS might be a better userexperience than Windows, but why not just put Linux on it instead of Chromeos You will have a better user-experience, a slightly higher boottime but other than that better. Less locked down.

I use an Android phone for everything now. Not by choice, but by necessity. A powered USB hub gives me enough ports to connect a keyboard, mouse, and soon an external monitor as well. It is not idea, but it gets me by for now. Tablets are an interesting idea, but have always been stuck in no-man's-land where either a phone does the same or a notebook is better.
A notebook running a merged Android/Chrome OS would be a good option for me, as long as the hardware is not e-waste cheap. Not going to spend a Macbook-Air on-sale price for a Chromebook though.

The way to go for Operating Systems is unification.
Mac OSiPadOs/Android OSChromeOS/Windows OS on ARMWindows OS for x86.
The Operating System should be able to have a User Interface that can work with AI, Speech, Touch, GamePad, Mouse & Keyboard across multiple devices Smartphone, Tablet, Handheld Console, Laptop, and Desktop.
Smartphones can be used in Desktop Mode and be docked to a bigger screen.
The limitations on Operating Systems are now mostly superficial. Apple just announced an A18 Pro MacBook Air.

Reintroduced myself to Chromebooks recently. Enjoying an Asus cx34 with an i5 processor, 16gb RAM, and 256gb of non-eMMC storage. It does absolutely everything I need it to do and more. I just hope that Chrome OS can be implemented successfully with Android in the near future.

Great to hear you like chromebooks now. I love them. In the country I'm living there are none. You cannot find any chromebooks in Turkey. But the thing I did, I installed ChromeOS Flex on a windows laptop and it works great. I'm very happy with it.

LOL. You can tell someone does not believe what they have been paid to say. These dudes were choking up the whole video. I used to be chromebook rep and I know personally just how these things are just prison Linux machines.

2:40 $650 for a chromebook with 16ddr and 256ssd, oled panel, mediatek courteous mpu Dude you can get a cheaper windows laptop for that spec, and the plus side is you can install Linux on it.

Very interested in picking this up. Major bang for your buck. Hardware, battery, android, linux etc. Most things are done in the cloud and browser anyway. The AI features seem cool too. Good one!

Chromebook is pretty chill, but the android apps are a huge drawback. The biggest one is the ads on it. I say, just remove chromeos and go with a linux distro
