Hoping someone can help me out. There's quite a lot of information regarding moving a SSD, with win 10, to a new pc. But what about SSDs without win 10/bootable ? i.e. I have 2 extra SSDs on my old pc and would like to move them to my new pc, with the data. Is it really as simple as just connectingh the SSDs into the new pc, exactly like I did when I installed them on my old pc? Might seem like a dumb question (not sure!), but just want to ame sure that's possible. Thanks.

How do I take a hard drive from a uefi motherboard and put it into a BIOS motherboard machine and get it to boot ? I have tried it, and it does not work. I have imaged the drive and restored just the C:\ partition, which is missing the BOOT directory and the bootmgr files. Is there a way to rebuild there ?
I tried bcdboot /rebuild and that does not work. Missing element
If anyone has done this successfully and knows how to do it, please let me know.
Thanks

That is the first part of the process, however if the computer you are moving to has not been authorized before with its own Windows 10 serial, you will need to buy a new windows 10 key. You can see a message in control panel/system to check.
Many third party programs that use handshaking authorization methods will also need re authorizing or you will find they may only work in demo mode.

I have a few programs on my laptop that have been installed by a third party who is not willing to do fresh install in my new pc. If i use this method will all the programs move along with the windows so i can just keep my entire setup the same and just new hardware.

Can I use this method in my situation? You see I have two SSDs. The first one has Windows 7 and the second one has two partitions: one with Windows 10 and the other with programs and data used by both my systems.
