The Antec C8 comes in a variation with fans, including 2x unique 160mm bottom-mounted solutions, and a fanless model that is frequently on sale. The Antec C8 is now becoming an alternative to the Lian Li O11D series (like the EVO RGB) and directly competes vs. the Montech King 95 (and King 95 Pro). This is a dual-chamber, fishtank style PC case that is trying to compete more affordably than options like the Corsair 6500 series. Our review and benchmarks of the Antec C8 case look at thermal performance, GPU cooling, build quality, cable management, noise levels and acoustics, and more. We also go through some of the best cases on the market right now. If you want to see what we think might be some of the best cases coming up in 2024, check out this round-up we made! Suggestion: Add a maximum acceptable temperature number at the top of your graphs. How hot is too hot If 60c is fine then all of the cases reviewed pass muster. My focus would then be how bloody loud is the case to reach a minimum its ok temperature. The focus would/should change to 1) Build quality or what do you get for your money This could have a rather extensive check list: Fans, how many, rgb or not, storage spaces, cooling compatibility to name a few. 2) When fans are set for silence, do the temps meet a minimum threshold 3) Totally subjective: the way it looks. My PCs have always sat where I can see them, so liking what I'm looking at is important to me as points 1 and 2.
If all of the cases reviewed pass muster for minimum acceptable temps, then those graphs are pretty pointless. The context of cost and noise then makes temps relevant.

At first I thought you guys weren't happy with Thermaltake so as to not review their cases like the Ceres series, but now I'm thinking they outright aren't talking to you guys at all so it's not worth your time, because they're still a company with problems despite hiring new talent to make their latest cases actually great, the ceres 300 in particular is great value. Jonsbo Z20 is another case I've found excellent, reversing the airflow of the 120mm on the rear is the difference between it being a high performing cpu build vs gpu build. The size of the graphics card also determines whether you can fit a 3.5 in it too, while also allowing for even more room with an SFX PSU in the provided bracket which still enables AIO tubing to be routed outwards to the right, which improves aesthetics significantly.

Antec got my attention again when I was looking for prices for the InWin D-Frame case. Antec's new Striker and Cannon cases came up as similar products you might like with the search. Open loop cooling cases that integrate the chassis to include water cooling components as part of the outer case. Then when looking for fans, Antec has several that they recently released and seem to compete in the area that Arctic has been in. Good quality, good prices, good warranty, available as single and in packs of 3 or 5, different fans for pressure and airflow, and a slightly more premium tier also including ARGB versions.

They've been kicking around all these years. p10/p20 series, torque from their gaming series, cx / ax / nx / isk series, DF series. Granted none of those really stood out given the new fishtank meta. I have my build in a DF800 and personally really enjoy these kinds of cases. It was $98 and came with the same kind of bottom mounted reverse blade fans for GPU airflow. It came with 3 front intake fans and an exhaust with room for 4 more fans should you wish. It also came with ample storage space for 3 SSD's and 3 HDD/SSD slots.
Edit: just looked and the df800 is on newegg for $80. That's a steal IMO.

GN have reviewed so many cases in the past that had fan mounts on the PSU shroud (like all the Lancool cases) but never bothered to install fans there to see how the GPU temps will be affected. Many gamers nowadays use AIO's for the CPU so they only care about increasing air flow into GPU, e.g. fans on the bottom. Unfortunately GN just doesn't have any data for that scenario. All their case reviews are focused on 'standard' air cooling, no AIOs, and no extra fans under the GPU. I love GN, but their case reviews have limited usefulness, given how popular CPU AiOs are.

Genuinely impressed and excited by this case, Antec have made some kick as cases in the past, my 1200 STILL going well all these years later. Really good to see them come back. It's about time we had more competition from a actually good company not some unknown new comer who just cheaply clones other peoples designs. Yes I realise people may view this case as a clone, but it was a GOOD clone. Their years of experience in the game finally showing. I'm not in the market for a new case but will definitely consider this one in the future

is it possible to report on differences in supplied hardware when buying cases from certain manufacturers
An example ive experienced is the Hyte y60 in which the same case can be purchased from Ibuypower with 5 fans, cyberpowerpc with 2 fans, or from the manufacturer where it comes with 3 its a weird thing i noticed when looking into purchasing a new PC either from an SI or build it myself and thought it was somewhat interesting, especially cyberpower removing a stock fan for whatever reason

My first Antec case (902 USB 2.0) was my only case. It's been serving me well for over 13 years of generations of hardware upgrades, without fitment issues (even with a massive 3090 Ti).
When I upgrade, I buy used office cases to put my old hardware in to sell it, and I keep using my Antec case for new hardware.
I don't understand why some people keep buying new cases every single time they upgrade (creating more e-waste), when there's nothing wrong with reusing your old one if you can.

I remember 20 years ago shopping parts for a new build. I was living near Paris and went to China town, or near by, where you can find numerous shops selling PC parts. At that time everybody wanted an Antec Sonata case, but shop after shop it was out of stock. Fortunately, a little shop had one in stock at a reasonable price. I bought it and on my way to the car, everyone was looking at me with an envious eye! Great time!

I feel like the 160 mm fan placement at the bottom to be useful for this design from Antec, With my personal ownership of the Montech King 95/95 Pro, And the Lian Li Lan Cool 216 to be an excellently designed cases from inception. I find the King 95 just edges out Antec C8 in its versatile design and flexible and unique curved air/glass mode. Nice to see Antec making cases again. Thanks Steve!

I just want those 160mm, _REVERSE FLOW_ fans to be available for individual (or 2-pack) purchase. Antec released the P10 Flux, F-Lux case with a reverse flow fan several years ago. Those fans _STILL_ aren't available for individual sale in N. America. Make _ALL_ Of Your Products Available In North America.
Until you do, Antec, I will have no choice but to buy from Montech.

The only dual-chamber case in which I've built is the Corsair Air 540. I still have that case, and I like it well enough, but there's no build in it currently. As spacious as it is, the length of today's GPUs sometimes rules it out. My last two builds have been in Montech Air 903s. That's a nice case. The Antec case that interests me most is the P20CE.

All if not most their stuff in recent year, was budget stuff, usually with bad build quality like easily shattered glass, thin metal panels, and low quality fans (NX 800 would be prime example). I usually suggested people to avoid their cases if the budget allowed them, good to see they have decent cases among the sea of junk cases they release each year.

White grommets would look even better than the gray. Don't like how the top and side looks incomplete and creates more dead space. I would do a 360 AIO on top and 3 120's at the side. They should make a cover panel for the bottom if we wish o not use bottom fans to clean up the look. IMO its not an airflow case without front fans anyway.

GamersNexus, Regarding your Case/GPU test bench:
Why use an Intel CPU when, I at least would argue, most people are using Ryzen right now
Giving Pcore and Ecore temps mean nothing to me as an AMD user.
I am also hoping that you guys will use an AMD CPU in your next standardized test bench for GPUs as well.
Good video though.

Planning to get the curved c8 when it launches (I wanted the montech K95 PRO, but with my PC being in a sit/stand desk clamp holder, the c8 having IO ports at the top insrltead of the fron is more ideal for me personally - don't want to randomly run into my pc during the night and break a usb port because a receiver was sticking out)

I am so thankful to see GN back in the case review space again! I completely understand why there was a 2 year hiatus.
Small note, who is the new person on camera doing the disassembly Because they should be using a GN screwdriver, not a Craftsman. It's always the attention to detail that comes back to bite you.
Caffeinator out.

I hate that power supply placement shown 4:30
You know, we're at point now where 2C from a fan behind the motherboard equals a new overclock because of automatic constant tuning base off temperature.
Gamemax Diamond COC WT case has this fan why hasn't it been tested now The very old Coolermaster 690 had this option too.

i bought this case about a week after it came out with a discount it was like $110. put 9 of my own fans in works great. can hold all my SSDs wish it had a little more 3.5 drive support but that ok for the price very very good :D i did transplant my computer from a thermaltake case thermals dropped quite alot from it aswell

I gwt how branding shows attention to detail/not just farming things out, but I dont want my cases to be billboards. If there is a logo I want it discrete and symmetrical.
The Fractal Mood is a great example for how much branding I want. Just a cool case in general. Id like to see it reviewed with a clc like a 280.
