Socket 12 Sticks of RAM in 1 Minute, Win 120
video description
And one thing about the latches - they sometimes can still be half locked even when the stick is seating properly in the slot and is detected. The latch is simply getting stuck and can be pushed lightly to full locked position, but it doesn't affect detection of RAM.

Hey, I just got my medium mat in! I was finally in a position where I could both support your content and upgrade my workspace.
I'm absolutely thrilled with this thing; the quality is beyond what I was expecting. (But for future revisions, consider putting the ESD snap on both sides of the mat? With how my space is set up, it's some very awkward cable routing behind the table.)
Anyways, this video makes me wish I'd saved all my old motherboards and ram - they're all ITX so I'd have more of a challenge, but this looks super fun and I wish I could give it a try!

Love your charitable work GN but does any other viewer agree the footage of Steve socketing all that RAM looks slightly sped up? I know he is going fast to set a good time but the footage doesn't like right. GN aren't trying to cheat the benchmark but it could have been done to flatter Steve's result making it an solid even 12 sticks within a perceived minute not 11. The timer is ticking along at the right speed but the movement of Steve's body and hands look artificially faster (speech audio run at normal speed).

hey GN, great content. Maybe you've done this already--my bad if you have--but I'd love to see a video where you test to see at what temperature PETG pipe fails. I've heard mixed things about PETG's longevity including horror stories of it failing at the compression connector & frying multiple components. I know custom loops only appeal to a small group of consumers but if you need a random content idea, I know I'd find this information useful.

If you wanted to be sadistic you could have used G.Skill TridentZ memory with their sharp heatsinks, and watched as the contestants cut their hands up trying to put them in! The AIO in my case is one of those ones with a mesh sleeving on the tubes, and the outer mesh is actually frayed from an unfortunate brush when removing the memory sticks!

A big thank you to the guy at Canonical. I ve been using Ubuntu for years. It is the Linux distribution that made me able to use Linux and while others have become easier to use over the years I still stick to Ubuntu for the ease of use, stability and long term support. Still using the 20.04 LTS and it works fine.

I ll be honest and admit that I actually kind of like how the 5700THICC looks. Normally I deshroud, because I prefer 120mm Noctua fans over the loud 92mm fans OEMs prefer, but if I couldn t I d much rather have the black plastic plus chrome shroud than the cringey gamer aesthetic most cards use.

You just know if this was to catch on and become some kind of sport, I'm thinking something along the line of the cup stacking that was all the rage a few years back, within a couple of months, there's be some kid who could do like 100 stick in 60 seconds.

Great to see you guys combining the generous donations with something fun. It's a nice change of pace every now and then to see you guys relieve yourselves of the high quality journalism and reporting/analysis you always do. Thanks to the whole team

Damn I wish I was there. My record is 19 sticks in 1 minute!
I used to work at Circuit City and some of the employees started doing these type of races in 1999 for fun in our down time, betting lunch or DIVX movies lol!
