In this video we find out GN is really just a front for thermal paste sales . Steve made a totally legitimate business connection when visiting Taiwan, however got in too deep and can't stop buying it. He's gotta supply the other paste sniffers as well because they'll come after him if he stops too.
It's a no win situation. To cope with the stress, there was a new small room built where only he has access. Once inside, he sniffs the paste with a new piece a new piece of testing equipment which is being used to freebase it in various forms. Though he doesn't break even every time.
The only way we are able to help is by watching videos in their entirety so he has funds to keep buying more paste. It's a catch-22.
We keep watching, we're supporting his and others paste habits.
We stop watching, the wrong people start coming for him and possibly others.

I have quickly skimmed through some articles about this hertzbleed vulnerability and according to Intel this has a a very low chance of effecting the average PC user once the vulnerability is used in the wild for the nefarious things this would be used for. Here is what I think about the new Intel GPUs that it is nice that they are releasing cards but they need to get their drivers in order first because their drivers are terrible for gaming because I have seen performance issues with their current line of iGPUs such as graphical glitches in some games. Yeah the Demo discs some of them were infamous for corrupting your saved game data on your PS2 memory card deleting it. Interesting Plastic CPUs. Man 6hz for the 1st Plastic CPU. I am excited for those AMD Mendocino based laptops because it is like having another version of the Steam Deck.

lowkey
The PC Gamer demo discs sustained me through the misery that was dialup in the 90s, seriously they were so damn important and the demo disc alone was worth the price of the magazine subscription. Also the A380 performance is puzzling, it does exceptional in some synthetics, and not great in a lot of other things. It looks to me like they may have optimized drivers very well for some synthetics, and have yet to do much driver optimization for just about everything else. I'd love to believe that it's Timespy score (faster than 3050 IIRC) is the ceiling for the hardware itself when fully optimized.

demo discs, NICE! Now if only computers could read disks these days....
Joking aside, there was a period in my young life where I was a DEDICATED gamer, but didn't understand that Descent and whatever other games I don't remember I was playing weren't actually a full game. Might as well have been since I wasn't old enough to do anything but play the first three levels over and over anyway.
Come to think of it, I don't think I ever did complete any of the Descent series....

As always, great video!
In the context of preventing waste and prolonging the use of existing hardware, there are still plenty of Prolimatech Genesis and Megahalems CPU coolers around, and socket 1200 isn't old or useless yet. Could you maybe test those 'vintage' high quality coolers so we get an idea of how they compare to the likes of NH-D15 or Vetroo V5?
That would be awesome! (I got to admit I have a soft spot in my heart for that Transformers-like logo on the Megahalems.. )

There was a time when I spent more time playing demo discs on PlayStation 1 than full games. Paying about 6 for a good magazine to read plus about a dozen demo games seemed like a better deal than 50 for a regular game and was easier to convince mom to buy especially since you could find the magazines in the grocery store. I had some for PC as well but at the end they were shipping complete games with PC magazines like Forsaken which I got with a magazine.

I welcome back game demos. It would be nice. I mainly have relied on steam to let me buy, play, then refund a game if I dont like it. But that only gives you 2 hours.... I really hate these days how early access is such a wide spread thing. Its abused a lot I feel. Games sit in that for years. several I have had are still early access after 4 years! this is a trend that needs to stop....

The plastic processor news title is somewhat missleading. They used plastic as a substrate rather than glass (which would be used otherwise). The actual devices are made from IGZO. Correct me if I'm wrong but the semiconductor material IGZO (your shorthand pronunciation was correct btw) seems somewhat terrible for use in logic functions since it can't be used for CMOS devices (NMOS only).

Hi, just travelled back from the future to tell you that you will never play a game streaming service that doesn't have noticeably higher latency than playing a game locally. Sorry to burst your bubble, it turns out that all companies are interested in is you not actually owning your games and being able to sell your personal data. Who would have guessed??!

If you do not work for the state, you have no reason to care about any bogus CPU or chipset hardware vulnerabilities. Incel and AMDumb pay 'independent' 'researchers' to create cycles of upgrade hysteria gradually chipping away at your performance as time goes by -- until you upgrade to the latest and greatest of backdoor technology
