you buy a open box , you did not open it , you send it back New Egg opened the box and found the Intel CPU pins were either broken or bent .
New Egg came up with the notion that you bent or broke the pins (although the box not opened).
It is a refurbished (open box) sell
so in their logistics of the board or boards they were not checked only by the main manufacturers who gave them a quote to fix said item
you believe the sticker should not be on the board .i say they should if it has came from the manufacturers building as for tests
New egg tried and still is trying to claw money back from customers trying to send boards back and resell them with a no guarantee item in place but knowing they had serious faults
also selling them at a high price to get maximum profit but not giving a discount so they can get it fixed by the manufacturer
so they were trying to rip off customers in my books i will not buy from them simple as that.
also for you to say not to leave the sticker on knowing the board gone to the manufacturer is just as bad as egg trying to ripp off as a customer could also follow the same path as you knew that the board was sent .

I bought a brand new defective Gigabyte X570 Elite MB from them that gave me problems from day one. I never even got to the return process with their support because they were blaming every other component for the issues when I had already systematically eliminated all other possibilities. Between the constant run around and being talked down to by support I gave up and bought an X570 Ultra from Amazon. I swapped all the components over to the new board and it's been running perfectly for 8 months now. After that and the Shuffle shenanigans I'm pretty much done with Newegg unless they seriously pull their head out of their ass. I am so glad I was able to get my 3080ti through the EVGA elite program and didn't have to get screwed spending way too much on components I didn't want/need from the Shuffle. I won't be holding my breath for a satisfactory solution to this.

Having competition is fantastic, in Spain we have PcComponentes , they have competitive prices, a PC part picker with 30 addition if you want them to build it and install windows on it; they offer no overpriced, decently choosen prebuilts and recently my parents bought some open box speakers from there, 40% off the original price and in the product they went as far as specifying how deep the scratch marks were on the outside shell of the speakers, and of course the speakers work flawlessly, and they even give sweets and lollipops in all the packages, not kidding, i swear I don't work for them.
Having only Amazon for PC parts probably sucks.

I still have my doubts about anyone actually showing up... They know what they have done for quite some time. Even if take a quick glance at the motherboard they sent to GN you could tell that it is not good to sell again. You don't have to think about it at all. CPU socket has multiple bent pins, there is no way the device will function or it will certainly crash during some procedures. And the mb provider has even told them that this doesn't work and they still sold it to the next sucker along the line. There just are no excuses for that, zero, nada, nope.

I'm no NewEgg apologist nor have I had a RMA nightmare with them, and honestly had forgotten about this until this series came to light... but I think it's fair to add my anecdote.
Last year, I purchased a Ryzen 5600X , no big deal except 3 or 4 weeks later, I get one of their sale emails with the same CPU now 20 less. I got a CS person in their chat and asked about it. She verified the order and kindly gave me a 25 in store rebate. No hassle.

I don't want discount the severity of what has happened with Newegg here, it is truly appalling and inexcusable. However I've worked in IT for over 2 decades and have see how many people treat sensitive and fragile electronics. I'd be willing to wager that a double digit percentage of people complaining about denied RMAs from Newegg did actually damage the device and either don't realize it or were trying to get it replaced for free.

At the point at which newegg RMA techs recieved the board from you and spot an obviously damaged socket, a trace of paste but fail to mention the huge RMA sticker on the motherboard, then their RMA process is useless. I suspect the whole reason you never recieved the photos is because they would have obiously shown the sticker - I'm almost suprised they returned you such damning evidence, and that it didn't get 'lost by a courier'

I hope there concern is genuine and not corporate PR speak. I too like you used to by from Newegg vs. Amazon and lately between stories like this, 3rd party market place garbage, and restocking fees (which I understand have been eliminated) there wasn't any value in shopping with them unless they had product there competitors did not. I hope they turn a corner and go back to the way things used to be there.

Love the fact that you're outside in fresh-air filming this
You got to love nature sometimes the Canadian geese are so obnoxiously loud it was awesome to hear you say quiet on the set
I did the same thing with some birds a couple years back when I was in my tent such a rude awakening I yelled at them so that's enough I'm up it was funny and I was loud and it was funny as well
