Shaun, just like leggo. seems pretty easy to me, I might whip one of these up myself, of course I would first have to learn how to use tools, like a saw, chisels, hammers, but im sure thats not too hard, then of course theres the little matter of going to the gym to beef up a little, those logs look heavy, I'm not the best on ladders either, or climbing on a roof, pesky fear of heights, and I'm not sure I could work in the snow, but the rest of it looks easy peasy, I dont suppose you have a weekend free? really love all the content, and the way you make the very hard look oh so easy, Merry Christmas Grizzly Adams

I wonder at times whether or not people may perhaps consider me biased simply because I make sure to hit that like button before I even watch your videos Shawn, then I have a little chuckle to myself while thinking that biases have nothing to do with simply knowing a good thing from previous experiences.
I wish you and your family a wonderful and comfortable holiday season, best regards as always from Lloyd somewhere here in Southern Ontario Canada.

My dad's first job as a trainee carpenter, in 1939 was as a sawyer on a barn build. Those days it would make or break a novice. I'm proud to say, he succeeded. Not only that, but, I also out of 4 sons, I to became a carpenter Now, 77, I'm watching you build without power toos. What a joy. Oh, oh, my mistake, is that a POWER lock tape measure!

Shawn I have a question do you still find yourself learning new things as you build? It seems like you have such a wealth of knowledge I wonder where you go to when you can t figure something out or what s your process when it comes to problem solving when your all alone in the wilderness?

I'm certain that making the logs into square logs of 8 X 8 or so would be a giant pain in the butt, however once they were milled, it should be greatly easier to build your cabin. Why did you go back to making the new cabin out of round logs instead of like the workshop?

Hey, really enjoy watching your videos, they are relaxing and inspiring. What silver roof panels/ insulation did you use on this? I looking at something for fire resistant sound dampening material for a generator box. Thanks! Have a great Christmas!

You really should take the time to make a spring bow wood lathe, simple to build and will make more precise dowels and much faster / more efficient than using a draw knife for stitching your courses of logs together or timber frames.

I always tell the younger men, if you don't have the wow factor, when you build with your own hands, you should look for a different trade. I think you have the wow factor, getting enjoyment from what you do. The simple life.
