I am starting a vegetable garden this year. I started my garden path with herbs as a way to begin my herbalism study. I think out of what was listed I am very interested in the Sweet Pea High Scent for my fire escape flower show that I am also starting this year and the Patio Choice Yellow Bush Cherry Tomato. I wonder if I can add these to the order I already placed today?

I'm totally getting that patio choice bushing tomato! I love the fact that Epic bought botanical interests. Also, i love kaboocha squash.
But, why is mountain merit bush tomato so expensive? I mean 6. 29 for 10 seeds. Geez, that's like 63c per seed! is it a especially low yielder? maybe the seeds are hard to collect?

I would like a discussion on all the veggies/fruits/herbs we can grow on a patio in full sun/part sun in containers of various depths/widths. We are banned from growing in the ground, zone 8b, due to mean landlords meanwhile the price of food is going astronomical. In order to survive, we need to learn what we can grow.

Now I want to buy even more seeds! There's so much out there that I want to try, but I should probably take it slow (only not really because I'm too excited) for my first season. I love that you included flowers on this list too, I definitely need to pick up some nasturtiums to put around the veggie patch.

CHOCOLATE! I walk my dog by a house that has so many flowers including chocolate flowers. It s even self seeded in several places along my walk. Self seeded by me haha. I crush the seeds along my walk. People in the neighborhood must think I m weird walking down the street with a chocolate flower up my nose

Technically, Quinoa is not a true seed, but it is a seed and is incredible! Also, it needs to be moist until it germinates and is about an inch tall. Last year grasshoppers got our in ground crop. We grew some in flats ant transplanted them, they grew well. Later on it doesn t like too much water.

BItter melon is very healthy, but it is bitter. I should be cooked briefly and don't stir the pot, mash or overcook bittermelon or it will be even more bitter. I like it stuffed, Chinese stuffed bittermelon, pinakbet (Filipino stew. The Chinese bittermelon is not as bitter as the smaller ones.

How does the grafting tomatoes work exactly? I understand grafting basics. But I can t visualize this. You plant a tomato seed from a grafted tomato plant and it germinated and has a lifecycle like any other tomato, but it is healthier? Or do we get small tomato plants to grow? Intrigued.

Good call on showing the packets. I've grown them from years (and watched you for years) and never knew the name of the company. Hyssop and other flowers. They surprisingly did well in a confined space. They are stunted in size in smaller pots, but still beautiful.

I watched some videos last season about tomato grafting and it was so intriguing. I'd love to try it. I winter sowed some Anise Hyssop last season and it did amazingly well. The plants grew so quickly and looked like an established perennial in just a couple months

Loving the flower content! I have only been growing edibles so looking to get more into flowers. Totally get that you all have a partnership with Botanical Interests but would have been nice to see some seeds from other companies. Thanks for all y'all do!

Bought a bunch of Botanical Interests veggie seeds at our local nursery a couple of weeks ago. I was surprised to find they had spaghetti squash seed. I love spaghetti squash as a change from pasta. Looking forward to growing it in my garden this year.

I love bitter melon! I make it in tea. It grows very well in my zone in the fall, so normally that's when I grow it. I'm going to try growing it in the spring this year. Love the flower content! I grow coreopsis, echinacea, and anise hyssop.
