Making my Favorite (former) item at Taco Bell - THE Double Decker DyesubDave: Looks FANTASTIC Sam. Personally would have added some cheese to the beans to make the GLUE even stronger. Pepper flakes in the beef would have added a nice kick too. And it's a TACO so we all know it needs some type of taco (HOT) sauce. I may try a medium-sized one instead of the 3 pounder. ;oP

I live a rural area and hadn't been to a taco bell in a few years. I stopped into one recently and asked for two double deckers like I had for damn near my whole life. The girl behind the register just gave me a blank stare for about 20 seconds, then she asked what I wanted again. I said two double deckers. She asked what I was talking about so I explained and asked how she didn't know what I was talking about. When she said it's not on the menu I asked when the flying F they took it off! She asked her manager and proceeded to tell me they couldn't/wouldn't make one for me. I doubt I'll be back at a taco bell for a another few years.

Hello Sam! Wife and I love watching you. The first time we watched you was when you made the Popeyes chicken sandwich. Watching that gave us inspiration and so we made it ourselves, and it was fantastic. You gave us inspiration to continue cooking things that we saw you cook. I watch you every day and I can t thank you enough for giving me something to look forward to as I am in the military and my wife and I are far away from our families, we haven t been able to see them for a year now. Just wanted to say thanks Sam, another great episode. You re great.

Epic Sam, as always! At 3 pounds that would feed my family or be ridiculously awesome to bring to a potluck! Love your vids man, I'm addicted. Watched them all and made a good half of your recipes! Now I keep my phone propped up in the kitchen when I'm cooking so I can follow your videos. Would LOVE a copy of your book! Keep it up! Any chance to get new episodes every day LOL!

I don't care what size you make things, why not. What you spent on all of those you could have made many smaller ones, so good to see that size. You think on your feet and have fun cooking too.

Sam awesome job as always and I love the extra seasonings you added BUT, you missed the most important item of all. Where is the Taco Bell hot sauce? So close LOL! :)

There was a place near me that was a competitor to TacoBell in the 80 s and 90 s. They made a funny taco. Double decker but minus beans and add nacho cheese.
