why you have go to japan mark in this current situation that japan is threat to the world to bring back its military madness and using taiwan as a steppingstone, you half chinese, don't you have a little decency to not to go to japan for a while don't you know what japan did to china and asia your wife is asian, ask her what japan did to thailand on dec '41 or maybe you just don't care, all you care about is views and eat. too bad.

I hate that in the last 10yrs several burger places here in the US and abroad are trying to be cute and building their burgers with the toppings on the bottom. I'm always having to rebuild my burgers the correct way before the hot burger patty makes the toppings soggy. After that I rarely give them my business ever again.

Hey Mark, I have been watching all your videos and I am very inspired. I just wanted to share with you that you have inspired one of you tubers from India, Foodie Prabu. He is now in Alexandria Egypt visiting all the places that you shared. If you would say hello in his Foodie Prabu he will be very happy Thank you

Adding Takayama to my favorite places to visit someday list. Every meal looked incredible, and to have the lovely mountain scenery, makes it even more special. I loved that little table top grill at that one restaurant.
You truly are the most blessed family to get to go to these places.

Japan is currently pouring huge quantity of so called treated radio active water from the 2011 Fukushima nuclear accident into its surrounding coastal regions. For your own personal safety avoid seafood from Japan at all costs.

24: 53 The burger been tryna divorce a relationship with the meat patty, but the vegetables never signed a prenuptial agreement, that’s why all veggie impossible burgers can’t come close to a really juicy, meaty patty!

We visited Takayama a couple of years ago, and this video brings so much memories! The town is truly a gem on its own.
And I truly admire Mark Wiens' vocabulary haha! Hida beef is simply indescribable for me!

A wobbly chunk of tendon!
OMG learn to describe food so someone other than one of your super fans can appreciate it. Most people think wobbly chunk sounds utterly disgusting. I know I do. And you lost me.

Yes you do show how to cook the meat and how the ingredients presentation I have to do it but you treated in a way and bring it out to people to understand how the middle is made with the contents are

I can’t believe such a small guy like you can eat so much food in one day. I’m twice your size and I love everything you eat But. I would struggle. You are a champion eater.

I can't help it, shabu shabu seems like such an awful way to treat that amazing beef. I'd rather eat it raw like a carpaccio. Everything else looks absolutely scrumptious!

This is really making me miss Japan. Thanks for always sharing these places! The next time I go to Japan, I'm definitely trying some of the places you mentioned!

This dude has lost viewers cause he does the same content over and over again with the same silly faces and the same damn cloths. People got tired of the same old same.

i think the Hidagyu Maruaki first dish is shabu-shabu and not sukiyaki but either way the meat looks amazing.
i will visit there on March and devour it

What a great video. I was in the beautiful Takayama for the Sakura season earlier this year. Stunning place, I still dream about the Beef Sushi, outstanding!

the steak near the end of the video appeared tough as you tried to bite and pull through it. but the earlier cuts of beef seemed more tender.
