Easy Recipe for Chili - Simply Mama Cooks Grizzly: My receipe for good chilli is I use 8 pounds of ground beef or more and I put it in my cast iron skillet and I chop up two onions and as the ground beef and onions are cooking I get another big pan and put the chilli beans and some canned tomatoes and a whole can of tomato juice. I turn the heat on low and as the beans and the other ingredients are warming up. I take a pan and put it in the sink with a colander in the pan in the sink. I put the ground beef and onions in the colander to drain the grease from the ground beef and onions. After the ground beef is grease free I put it in the pan with the rest of the ingredients and stir it up and I take the pan of grease and put it in a container with a lid. The other pan with the chilli in it I turn it the heat down to low and put a lid on it but every once in a while I stir it so it doesn't stick to the pan after about a half hour it's ready to eat. You don't have to call 911 or a ambulance to worry about a heart attack because it is grease free.

Love this recipe! Always love your recipes by the way I hope you don t mind me asking but what chili powder do you think is the best for a beef chili like you made. I know there are different kinds but would love to hear what you guys like in your chili. I have been wanting to make a delicious chili so bad. Thank you so much for all you do you have been someone I have admired for along time. I love that you cook different types of foods same as me. I don t want just one cuisine I want to learn some from most of them. Lol have a wonderful day. Oh I changed my name too by the way. I think this is a better fit than Tressa s stay at home life because I really only do food videos. Sorry for the long comment. Tressa Daigle

Look great except for the rotted cream on top, LOL. I've eaten chili in the bowl, over rice, over spaghetti but I don't think I've ever ever eaten Frito pie though I certainly know about it and it seems to be very popular. I've also seen it served over french fries which for be a nostalgic taste as my Mama was very frugal and used to add cooked diced taters which was cheap to her chili when we got school age until we left home to stretch the pot of chili. She did this to save money instead of adding more meat or beans which would made the dish more expensive. When it was just her and Daddy she stopped adding taters as they were no longer needed. LOL

Ok folks, I made this for our family tonight. Completely different approach from my chili. I ve won several cook offs so I m trying to be open minded with this one. Followed it to a T. BAM)& (: :&. I CANT HAVE BEANS IM ON A KETO DIET. No problem. Left them out. . I ll be back and let you know how they were. Family loved it. No condiments, straight up chili. 5 minutes later I still have this robust chili flavor in my mouth. The wait was killing me. I did not taste test anything, saved it for end. Wonderful. The only change I made was to drain ground beef. So not to the T but close enough to experience the originators interpretive of chili.

Wow Simply Mama, Your Chili Beans Looks Absolutely Delicious Indeed. I Prefer Pinto Beans Over Kidney Beans Anyday. I Had Oral Cancer 7 Years Ago And My Jaw Tires Easily So I Use The Pinto Beans In Place Of The Kidney Beans. I Was Told That I Sometimes Come Off As Being Angry Do To Me Capitalizing Every First Word, I Just Wanted To Clarify That. I Sometimes Have Blurry Eyes Cos Of My Diabetes And I Want To Make Sure My Words Are Correct. I Liked How You Made The Frito Fries I Have Never Heard Of It And You Just Inspired Me To Do The Same. Thnx For 1 Many Of Your Undeniablely Delicious Recipes. You Rock! Peace!

When I have a busy day planned, I make cheater chili. Into a small crock pot, I dump two cans of diced tomatoes, a pint of home-canned pinto beans, and a pint of home-canned ground beef. Then stir in the chile and other herbs and spices. It simmers all day and is ready for me when I come in for dinner. I like to top a bowl of it with sharp Cheddar cheese.

I made this for my family on Sunday. I added 2 small cans of green chilies, 3 cans of drained and washed kidney beans and a quarter teaspoon of red pepper. It was FANTASTIC! I had a little bit left over so I added some more broth to it and served it over spaghetti noodles. I am going to can this chili up. Two thumbs up!

First off glad you added beans because without beans it is not chili. next time you should add red kidney beans though as they are so much better then pinto beans. Also cut back on the beef broth you used far to much and the chili was a bit to runny when you were done.

Oohh. chili dogs, chili mac. sometimes I add Hominy. I steam it with onions, garlic, salt& pepper with a little of the seasoned Chili broth, for 20 mins hominy is tough straight out of the can. yes, I rinse it befor cooking too. sometimes I get tired of beans. ijs.
