. I've done this recipe four times! following step by step, and in every single one the crust is hard and chewy. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I do know that 1/4 of a cup of water is not enough. I add tablespoon by tablespoon waiting and hoping that miraculously I don't need to add more. :(

We dnt know what they can or add in the store bought pot crusts now any food cnt be cooked without hard work u hv to work for it that when u get it same u hv to cook it now u cnt eat it raw of corse so better to make homemade than buying store bought good tip!

Use food processor to but everything in instead of doing it by hand.
Add some diced lard and butter for a totally flakey pie dough, and top off the pie with egg wash everywhere.

a lot of people use vinegar I think that it makes up like a cross never heard of using baking powder and all my years but I'll try it once
