Jim Johnman is playing baseball in Don Bradman Cricket 14 - Monster Factory

At long last, it's Jim Johnman's turn at bat. And also pitching. And also refereeing -If you get more runs than they get runs then you cant possibly tie. Thats just sports. - Hahahahaha
That is inadvertently the best line in this whole thing, particularly given the assumption that Justin and Griffin have no idea theres a difference between a Draw and a Tie in cricket. Hes absolutely right about the Tie thing, but the most common result in cricket is a Draw, regardless of how many runs each team has.
Basically Cricket is an absurd sport where more often than not, no result is recorded.\r\n

I think I got it, each team has Jenga towers on their side of the line they need to defend, if the other team knocks over your Jenga tower with the ball they throw, they get a point. If you hit the ball, they have to go and get it like baseball and you run back and forth between their jenga tower and yours to get points.

Every question you have about Cricket can be awnsered with -the hat man likes it. -
Why do players clone themselves? Why is there a bowling minigame inside of this sport? Why do players stand still? Why does the game take a week to play?

Coach Jim Johnman's twin son can't do math or feed himself, but his momma shit him out with a fantastic handle on Cricket. It took him about 60 years to actually join the sport, on his (and his twin father's) 60th birthday, but now that he's here, he'll never leave.

Griffin constantly getting out and having no clue he did and being like -what happened? The other team cheered and then I stop playing- is so simultaneously infuriating and hilarious when u know the actual rules of cricket and u can-t tell them

I actually just recently watched the Vox Media product -Explained- about cricket and I still don't know what's happening. And I really liked Explained and thought I was learning something from it. Dang.

As a cricket fan this was too hard to watch. But if you guys understand the rules and try not to compare cricket with baseball, this is a really fun game to play. It gets intense as the game goes on.

Hey if you agree with me please upvote this or make a separate comment. I think they should play Kenshi. You can create. Very unorthodox characters. It would be perfect for a monster factory episode!

griffin talking in the background with the pleasant music mostly drowning him out and him getting cut off while saying -am i enjoying the app? yeah! it's oka--- had me in actual tears, good god

'Is this T20 or test cricket? '
Griffin, confidently: 'oh, this is definitely T20. '
The narrator: It was not T20. It was not T20 at all. The game would go on for five days.

I genuinely appreciate the effort the lads have gone through to understand the game. I've lived in Australia for 20 years and I think we're at the same level of understanding

Ok. So I-ve been binging McElroy content for about a week now and nothing has quite got me like these videos. Please bring me more of the Donald-s Dark Creator

Clayton ALWAYS does a spectacular job on these. but the transition that happens when Griffin starts talking about Edge around 24: 32 is just P E R F E C T

real confusion is having absolutely no idea whether or not they-re goofing when they give the definitions of things or explain something that-s happening

i think -16 years old- right under his name on the career screen is maybe the most subtle punchline and i enjoy it immensely

I was on our neighbourhood cricket team for multiple years, and I still know only marginally more about cricket than Griffin does

Speaking as an Australian, there is something really special about listening to a pair of Americans talking about Cricket.

I didn't realise how much I knew about cricket until I was CONFRONTED WITH MY GOOD SWEET BOYS WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CRICKET

In Cricket do they just make up the rules as they go? Why would you wanna screw up Baseball? Pure insanity.
reply

do they put special mud from a secret place that only one guy can get on the cricket balls like in baseball or no
