Before you head out on those old country roads, take a look at our helpful tips for Fallout 76 beginners Its a multiplayer game so were going to make items more scarce than in the single player games.
youll be Drinking waaaaaay too often, and Eat waaay too often, and be over encumbered waaaaaay too often. Rad Away is rare, even with the right perk cards. And your stash box will be full within the hour. It can hold a lot of junk, but if you use it to stash weapons, armor or power armor parts its FULL. _-Stash away-_ is a lie. Too bad for those who like to collect rare gear.
And even if your stash is full with only Junk/ Crafting Materials. Youll still wont be able to cook or craft anything because you need to learn how to make something, or youre STILL missing materials. My stash is full and Im still missing materials!
And the game will run in 0. 5FPS when youre doing some inventorystash management _(On the X-Box and PS, donno about PC)_
Note that you do NOT MOVE your camp, you do not -take it with you-, its actually destroyed. Youll find out when you want to move, and for some reason cant place your HQ/Blueprint anywhere. You lack materials to rebuild what you previously build. And itll be under attack _(even if youre not there)_ by, in my case, Super Mutants, all the time.
Oh, death does not reset Hunger, thirst, diseases, radiation. I found that out out after picking a lock and it said it belonged to somebody AFTER I picked it and became wanted. It would be nice to know beforehand if something belongs to somebody in a not-player-created base.\r\n

Point 1: It's not Fallout 5, it is not even supposed to be, so don't expect it to be Fallout 5. It's an MMO and when you treat it like a new thing, some kind of experiment, you can actually have a lot of fun. And if not, that's ok! Then get yourself a different game that you enjoy more and like to spend your time with.
Point 2: There are plenty of streams and videos about it so you can get an idea of the game before you spend a lot of money. So if it is just not your kind of game: That's perfectly fine! You don't have to buy and like every game of a franchise just because you like other games of that franchise. :) But don't waste your time in putting so much energy in a game you don't want to play anyway. Save it for something that makes you having a good time, like a different game, a movie, time with your friends, Netflix or all of those combined.

Water is good, teas are better, soups are the best. Wood is EVERYWHERE! Don-t collect it until you are about to cook. Instead of collecting everything, highlight materials you want, then collect items that provide those specific materials. Saves a LOT of weight. Also, don-t just -scrap all junk-. Pre-war money is in this section. It has pretty good value to vendors. Remove it then scrap. Enemies don-t jump over fences, railings, logs, etc. Use this to your advantage. Sleep once every night to refill health, help cure diseases, and gain the well rested perk. Just don-t sleep on the ground. If you die, select the quest -retrieve your junk-. You worked hard for that stuff. Use plans, recipes, and designs in your inventory to free up space and learn new useful stuff.

People act like this should've been Fallout 5 when they really should just be looking at it as a Fallout spinoff, but online. Like it's fine if you don't want what the game has to offer but don't be a shitheel if someone else likes the game you know? The exploration is fun especially with a group of friends and I had plenty of pleasant interactions so far. Also, to those saying nobody asked for Fallout w/ multiplayer: Yes? People did? Like there's literally mods for a bunch of Bethesda games to give multiplayer?
Anyways, this is just a take from someone who just likes to Enjoy A Video Gaym and not flip shit when a primarily single-player game studio does a multiplayer game.

LoL - -3: 39 Possibly the best advice for Fallout 76, give them another year in development before getting it.
The amount of exploits is disappointing, as is the unrewarding / punishing PvP system; which can also be exploited to potentially grief players.
If it had a real beta and not Bethesda's B. E. T. A. it may be worth buying, but that was NOT the case.
good luck have fun. -All the new players who never experienced what Fallout is all about, i feel sorry for them-

Take cannibal, every other enemy is eatable and does not give you a diseases. Cooked food is the only other way to not get worms (which forces you too eat more) and wood is needed for crafting houses. It'll also help with the fact that you can eat someone rather than use a stimpack. This perk maybe swapped out later when you get power armour as it can be annoying to step out of the armour to eat but for early game it's amazing.

I steady grind missions so caps isn-t a problem with me so I just move my camp anytime I need my stash box that-s pretty much all I use it for I-m level 28 also for anyone wanting good power armor follow the story I ended up doing brotherhood of steel stuff and there is power armor every where I currently am wearing full t45 but have a full set of ultracite or however it-s spelt t60 but can-t wear it until level 50

I just don't see the appeal in this game. NPCs build a world, and even if there aren't that many, such as in Final Fantasy XV, then the open world requires more than just fetch quests and beautiful landscapes, but an engaging gameplay system, with difficulty and satisfying combat, somewhat lacking according to the reviews. For some reason, size is attributed to open world games more than quality content.

I don-t care what anyone says, I enjoy what I-ve played of this game so far. Sure, it has its issues both big and small, and it is by no means a great game, but it is incredibly fun provided you enjoy this style of game. Just because the type of game it is doesn-t appeal to someone doesn-t instantly make it a bad game, it just means it isn-t to their taste.

Actually workshops are very very beneficial because you can set up extractors in certain places and get a steady but slow supply of materials depending on the vein you put it on! The workshop shown in the video is actually a really good spot to have because you can farm steel, aluminum, and even junk using extractors!

OK, I'm trying to NOT be snarky or overly negative here, but. unless the whole -point- of this game is to -Build a Good Fallout Game- with your Friends & Online Allies, I'm just not seeing the appeal of this game -: (-
Like, maybe we can build Communities & Farms or whatever and Rebuild Civilization?

Things like adhesives and springs are just as rare as fallout 4. This is problematic because you actually need to repair items. I think a fair balance would be to either boost the amount of scrap found just slightly, or increase durability just slightly. Our guns are literally held together with duct tape

A good tip would be that when leveling up, after you select just a SPECIAL stat it is not locked in yet.
You can look through the perk cards of other SPECIAL stats, then if you want, you can back out and pick a different SPECIAL if it fits the perk card you want better.

I think another important thing is gathering resources, especially wood, so far I have informed 3 friends who have played as much as I have that you can interact with fallen logs to gain wood, it's really handy.

I highly recomend this game. My one main tip: DONT BE A LONER! The interactions I've had with players have been incredible so far and I can honestly say I already feel like I got my money's worth!

This game has a lot of potential, I-m enjoying myself. I recommend y-all give it a go before you judge it. It feels fantastic IMO and playing with others has been some of the best fun so far
reply

Honestly I-ve found this game to be pretty fun so far! I-ve never played a fallout game before because it never interested me but this one is good for newcomers to the franchise (me)

Try to put your camp a good distance away from Vault 76 because you can already fast travel for free to either so they might as well be far apart from each other.

Evryone I. Discovered an infinite cap glitch. go to mothman statue and take his eggs and sell them there 2. Or 3 caps each and every time u run out switch servers

is not letting people to uninstall the game, and the game is crappy like really crappy they've been using the same broken engine since skyrim
reply

You can just run straight for the door. All of that stuff you spend time picking up is automatically placed in your inventory, when you exit.

Just got game. it is one of most frustrating games in 30 years of gaming. would just love to know how to favorite a second weapon
reply

a lot of people are seeing the game as aimless, though i'm excited to have faction wars between players Enclave vs Brotherhood for example
reply

Is it just me or does this game look like Fallout 4 stripped off all fun? It even has literally the same graphics are Fallout 4.
reply

The best way to word 76 is bethesda is vault-tec and I really think they just want to see what we do with a open world

Owen uses several thousand words explaining 'What to do before you start playing' when he could have just used -don't-.

-Question as I wait for my download to complete. Once an area is Nuked, does it stay that way forever or it it timed?
reply

Bethesda should be ashamed of themselves. It doesn't even look like a Fallout game. I wanted wasteland not park land.
reply

I really wish some mutations could have visible effects on your character. Seems like that woulda been fun!
