Monster Hunter Generations: COMPLETE Beginner's Guide!

I-ve pissed off a lot of people by being careless of where I was standing when performing some combos. This is because you can trip your buddies. Stick to the edge of the tail at all times and make a habit to be responsible for getting it to come off. Leave the head for the hammer player.
For all new players: In Gen this may be fine, I-ve heard, but in other games. A player mounting a monster is NOT a free opportunity to hit it as you can mess up the mount sequence.\r\n

Okay, so I only recently got a switch. I played Monster Hunter World, and really want to get Monster Hunter Rise.
So to satisfy my Monster Hunter Craving I got Generations Ultimate.
Everything in this video helped. But unless I missed it, I don't know how to re-sharpen my blades in mid hunt like in world. A major problem I run into is my blade losing his sharpness completely mid fight with a boss and I have no tools to re-sharpen the blade and I end up doing literally no damage and dying.
Does Generations Ultimate have a sharpening tool you can take into the field like in Monster Hunter World?

My only complaint with the guide is the description of the Hunting Horn. The buffs are an additional gimmick of the weapon to boost the HORN-S dps and gameplay. It just so happens to also give them to teammates. Hunting Horn applies the most exhaustion damage of any weapon, and the second most stun. Depending on your style it does massive dps. Also its faster than dual blades once you do the self-improvement buff.

Thanks for the info, downloading MH Generations while I'm watching this video. Just beat all the quests in MH Rise what a great game. Getting a Monster Hunter fix because I am addicted this looks great and at 70% off, I can't wait to dive in. I'm starting with the long-sword because of your recommendation and it was my favorite weapon in rise.

Mh is one of those games where you feel rewarded for doing hard work. I started out with MHF2 on psp, it was quite hard and unforgiving at times but I felt rewarded. I now have Generations Ultimate, it brings back some memories and includes new hunter mechanics like mounting and styles which make hunting stylish and more fun.

3 years later i picked up this game as my First monster hunter. Playing on Nintendo switch and its fcking amazing i think in switch version tutorial get some overhal cuz most of the things you mentioned Here i know from tutorial. But rly improtant thing iv lerned Here is how stats are working thanks rly much m8.

idk, after watching Arlo get addicted to monster hunter it made me think -wow this seems like a really fun series -but after 10 hrs of generations i just keep getting frustrated with some item gathering or hunts
hopefully this video will help inspire me to keep playing

This sheet is complex my goodness. I got this for 20$ on my switch figured why not. Cool game. Wicked confusing build system. Probably need to get in the mood to play. Like from zelda to witcher 3 needed fps to break them up lol. For now i go back to ashen

There's a problem with what he said for adept as being for more experienced players, he somewhat right but veteran a lot of veteran players just know how to dodge and they also use aerial style where you can jump up on them to avoid attacks

helpful hint if your on a large monster hunt when you start off at camp look around the sky and if theirs a air balloon give them a wave with the gestures in the start menu and they will mark the monster on your map for a bit.

I'm new to the Monster Hunter series. I just bought Generations yesterday so it's my first MH game. I'm probably gonna keep coming back to this video because this is clearly the work of a veteran. From a noob to a vet, thank you.

This video helped alot because I spent over 300 hours in monster hunter 4 ultimate and never got into Generations and this helped me get into this game after a few months of not playing it.

Like how armor and weapons have visable stats but the monsters don't. Everytime I look at MH menu screen I feel like vomiting. Soo cluttered.
