We are brought up today to regard Shakespeare plays as being the height of culture but remember to make a living he had to get people to pay money to watch his plays, so he had to appeal to as wide as audience as possible. Consequently, Shakespeares plays were the Fast and Furious franchise of their day. People would have been enthralled by sword fights the way modern audiences love car chases.
Just like action movies, Shakespeare included plenty of low-brow one-liners to appeal to his audience.
In Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare gave his character the name Tybalt to make a dick joke.
Tybalt was the name of the Prince of Cats in the Reynard the Fox stories. Reynard the Fox was the medieval version of Uncle Remus Brer Rabbit, where anthropomorphised animals provide lessons on morals for the listener. Shakespeares audience would have known the Reynard the Fox stories and would have been familiar with Tybalt. So Shakespeare would have named his character Tybalt to make reference to this known story and not as a coincidence.
If you look at the full quote of Mercutios reference to Tybalt -
More than Prince of Cats. O, hes the courageous captain of compliments: he fights as you sing pricksong, keeps time, distance and proportion.
The delivery of the line Prince of Cats. O would have been made as a homophone for cazzo, an Italian slang term for penis, of which the audience would have been aware, ensuring a loud laugh.
Hence, when Mercutio refers to Tybalt as the Prince of Cats, he is saying that Tybalt is not only a dick, he is the Prince of Dicks.

CHRISTIAN GREY.
He's the typical narcissistic emotionally abusive jerk yet he gets praised as hot. He is not hot! It's literally the stereotypical story of an attractive narcissist getting with a fragile, inexperienced girl whom he can control and use for his own desires. There is nothing romantic about it and it's a very common relationship dynamic, unfortunately, because there are many jerks out there.

since there have been more than one big screen ROMEO & JULIET and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, you should think more of the literary source than the movie you've seen.
You leave out one thing about Sack which, while not an actual crime like a few of his transgressions, was about his worse: Announcing to the families that he and Claire were to be married when he hadn't actually asked her.

These guys are all epic douchebags, nice going and in my opinion not only was Joey Donner a douchebag but he was also an idiot so if you made a list of top 10 idiots and assholes he would be right at home on that list to as would others from this list so great work!

Okay. Let be honest. It was pretty hard to tell who wasn't a douchebag in The Wedding Crashers. Yeah, it is easy to point out another jerk bully groom gut that is running off of toxic masculinity, but the two protagonists seem like punchable douchebags too.

The opening is about excluding villains but from I learn antagonists and villains are often the same and these all seem to fall in the category of both. So wouldn't that make the opening statement false?

Small correction.
In Ghost Carl didn't actually plan to have Sam killed. The guy was only supposed to rob him because the password was in Sam's wallet. He shot him because Sam fought back.

I thought that Sack was going to be number one because of how badly he treated Claire not only verbally but cheating on her too. But Im glad Carl was number one.

You concentrate on the also-rans, when you might also consider the douchebags who were the leads and got the girl when they were hardly deserving.

Honestly never seen this version of Romeo and Juliet but props to Tybalts actor for giving good performance and just over blowing the character

Wow, so many douche bags worthy of making this list. I thought Carl Bruner would have been higher but number one spot is well deserved.

What about the guy who dates the sister on Dirty Dancing? He should be high on the list or at the very least an honorable mention

I agree with the list, but not the order. Carl Bruner should have been on the top because he's a murderer.
