In the 1960s, Mel Blanc nearly died in a car crash on Dead Man's Curve when another car came speeding around said curve, going over the line and smashing head-on into Mel's car. According to his autobiography, he was in a coma for several weeks, until one doctor thought to ask 'Hey, how you doing, Bugs? ', to which Blanc responded Eh, not so hot, Doc! ' Ever the trouper, once he was strong enough, he continued to record voices during his convalescence in a recording studio Warner Brothers had set up in his bedroom. He is definitely deserving of the top spot.

YO my favorite Voice actors out of all of the voice actors in this video I go for Tara strong and Jim Cummings I see why Tara Strongs last name is Strong(name) because her voice is so strong(noun) in fact she can even do boy characters in TV series and as for Jim Cummings despite being in his early 70s (or somewhere less than that) hes like Super awesome for childhood characters Voice acting Am I right?

Where the heck is June Foray? Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Cindy Lou Who, Jerry in Tom & Jerry, Granny in Tweety cartoons, Grandmaother Fa in Mulan, the original Natasha Fatale, Daisy Duck, Talky Tiny in a Twilight Zone episode, Ursala in George of the Jungle, Aunt May in one of the Spiderman cartoons, and hundreds more. How can you leave her off the list, not even an honorable mention?
reply

For a number of years he would do the lines of Looney Toons scripts in real time, switching his voice from one character to another. Eventually he had to ask the producers to let him do the lines for one character and then the other - with the audio producers editing the character exchanges together - to reduce the strain on his voice.

Theyre also more voice actors thatve done over 100 Roles just as Tara Strong, Grey DeLise, & Frank Welker. Cree Summer, Brian Drummond, Tabitha St. Germain, Kari Wahlgren, David Kaye, Steve Blum, Rob Paulsen, Laura Bailey, The Dobson Brothers, Scott McNeil, Kevin Micheal Richardson & Jennifer Hale.
reply

What? Not even a mention for Cree Summer, June Foray, Don Messick, Paul Frees, Phil LaMarr, Larry Storch, Clarence Nash, Pinto Colvig, Sterling Holloway, or (most shocking of all) DAWS BUTLER? I demand a recount! I demand justice! I demand a second list!

0: 31 Phil Lamar
#5 (Signs cross) God rest his soul. So much for a live action Batman Beyond Movie!
3: 29 Brian Griffin might as well as B his Fursona!
5: 46 Speaking of whom; I REALLY WISH Project G. e. e. K. e. R. lasted longer than it did!

reply

I agree with everyone else saying this list should have been longer. Theres a lot of great and iconic VAs out there that definitely deserve an honorable mention like Tom Kenny, and also April winchell, Keith David, and Dana Snyder.
reply

Before even watching EG Daily, Tara Strong, John DiMaggio, Hank Azaria, Tom Kenny, Jim Cummings, Mel Blanc, Rob Paulsen, Cree Summers, Mark Hamill (ETA. Can't believe I forgot him. I'm an idiot ) Just off the top of my head
reply

Tara Strong looks a lot like my oldest granddaughter. I also think you should have included June Foray. She voiced so many characters. She was Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha Fatale. That was just the tip of the iceberg.
reply

So I dont necessarily disagree with your picks because this couldve easily been a top 20 video, but how you can leave out these three from your top 10 is unacceptable!
Nancy Cartwright
Lorenzo Music
Alan Tudyk

reply

There are at least four voice actors who should at least be on the Honorable Mentions part, namely Troy Baker, Nolan North, and the exceptionally awesome Laura Bailey and Claudia Black
reply

Honorable mention: June Foray
She was known as the voice of Natasha in The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and Magica De Spell in the original DuckTales (1987. Among many others.

reply

How Billy West only got a mention and not an actual spot is beyond me. From Ren and Stimpy, Warner Bros, Doug, Futurama, CatDog and hundreds others. Disappointing.
reply

8: 05 Ashley Johnson voiced that version of Terra from the animated teen titans show.
Perhaps you were thinking of young justice's version of terra?

reply

Hank azaria, i remember him on Hermans Head. In one episode, He dressed as a big cat and talked like Chief wiggum. No one remembers Herman's head, huh?
reply

Kinda sad they didnt mention Kevin Michael Richardson. I swear dude's done voice work in almost every modern cartoon I can think of.
reply

The greatest character Hank Azaria ever voiced and the one he will always be known for is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon!
Thank you, come again

reply

Tara Strong is a hot little hottie. No one could ever top Mel Blanc. But wheres Troy Baker and Jennifer Hale. Or maybe Grey Delisle.
reply

How is June Foray not even mentioned! She was the female Mel Blanc and had an 85 year career! Sad that she wasn't an honorable mention
reply

Im sure its been said, but the fact that Cree Summer was not even honorably mentioned on this list is a crime. Also Phil Lamar!
reply

What about Rob Paulsen or Jennifer Hale? Paulsen singing a duet with himself I think in Batman and Harley Quinn is mind blowing.
reply

I wished to see Troy Baker in this list but after looking at the Absolute heavy weights in this list I'm not even mad
reply

Rob Paulsen, James Arnold Taylor, Laura Bailey, JK Simmons and Travis Willimham to name a few that you missed.
reply

I first got introduced to Tara Strong before she was a voice actor. National Lampoons Senior Trip. Just wow
reply

you guys are talking too much. lets hear the voices. or at least play them after youve mentioned them.
reply

Eg daily not on this list she voiced tommy pickles from rugrats and buttercup from the powerpuff girls
reply

I would add Rob Paulsen Maurice Lamarche Alex Hirsch Tony Anselmo Jess Harnell and many more to the list.
reply

Peter Cullen only does one voice, but it's as iconic and recognizable as any on this list. Optimus Prime
