I had this old computer looking at the size of it no cd drive the hard drive was massive in size and only 27MB Floppy drive and a ton of games on floppy what the heck was it called amidex I searched for the name today it's a Stain Remover anyway My Dell OptiPlex GX 110 is a tank and just keeps on going ATI Radeon 7000VE found Ram for it wopping 256MB and 733mhz pentium 3 threw a dvd-rom in it and barely plays movies also can't run anything in background or the picture stutters single core computing at its best LGR reminds me of a curious time in my life about computers old tech and Technology Connections shows me a lot about everything else keep it up boys enjoy learn about the past.

VCF West is one of many conventions I dream of attending, though I imagine the arduous journey from Singapore to whichever part of the US it takes place in could result in damage to my real vintage PC hardware I care about, like my ThinkPad 760ED once I get that back up and running, as well as my R52 and e-Vectra/e-PC, so I imagine just sticking to stuff in bad condition, stuff I'd want to sell (including self-published comics for under-the-counter sales) or give away, and emulation. That's not mentioning going to other conventions/tradeshows and comic shops/bookshops.

13: 28 Wow they have the big box soccer game Striker. I had that game in a compilation set (Championship manager/Striker/Goal/Sensible Soccer) I got it in 1994 just after the World Cup. It was a great game for the time. I actually went out and bought a joystick adaptor card for my 386 just so I could play it! Thos were the days, when your PC didn't even come with a joystick port. or a soundcard, or a CD-ROM. You were lucky if it had a hard drive!

I'm just really happy seeing him so passionate and delighted with old tech. And there's an event for others who love stuff like this too. Very wholesome. :) He's truly in his element here. Seeing this video from another country on another side of the world is like a breath of fresh air. Im not even a tech enthusiast but these are so fascinating to watch all the same coz of his fun, warm personality. Glad you had fun, Clint!

It's awesome to have seen my family history at this event. And seeing lgr, the 8 bit guy, and all of these awesome computers/technology was mind blowing. But seeing these Honeywell computers and systems was awesome. Again, a bit of family company history right here. Honeywell from the 21st gen meeting the past that my family worked with. Awesome video.

i have recently started diving deep into everything computer and i haven't been able to stop, i have a custom gaming rig and a laptop running linux live on usb, the computing world is so fascinating, i haven't even played video games or watched anything, ive been trying to learn all i can about the Ubuntu terminal, and casually watching videos about computer history

I wish that kind of events were held around here, but I guess you can't feel nostalgic for an industry your country was never part of. Sure we had a couple of local computer companies, but never at the scale of Acorn, for example.
Anyway, it makes me glad that a lot of people do care about old technology. It's part of human legacy as much as art or books are.

wow, these things look awesome! I want to visit someday. I was going to go to some of these this year but there was always a conflict with something else I wanted to do or some budget issues on my end. I even managed to miss the one here in Silicon Valley, argh! 2022 I definitely want to go to one, if not multiple ones: )

Man this makes me wish I could visit some of these conventions in the USA. It's a good thing next month there's another one in the Netherlands that I'm surely gonna enjoy. (though that one is more about selling games and consoles, and not about playing games - but cool part is that I get to meet some of my Dosgamers: D)
