This was also a -top early for its time- PC. Combines the full functionality of a laptop of the time, along with landline phone and fax support. It's basically the precursor to the modern smartphone-tablet in terms of what it's intended for. They even added a camera after release.
But the problem was the price was too high, since this was probably pushing hardware-space bounderies. This meant that only salarymen in Japan and their bosses could afford this. Secondly, society wasn't as addicted to cellular culture at the time. They still used wrist watches and payphones and took photos with disposable cameras. Their wasn't a demand for a portable multi-media computer/phone communication system like there is now.
I could imagine a 90s Japanese businessman keeping an updating backup of his work PC on this thing though, using it at his home office or at the airport and that makes me nostalgic lol.

I've seen that layout come back again like the GPD WIN, and I think HP did one too. Weird to see that layout was around back then, I thought it was new! I love that little tiny display on the front, I wish that caught on. Better than those flashing lights (like the i in ThinkPad) that tell you when your thing is on.

Everyone is talking about how great this is. I had a tiny little notebook. I also had the first smartphones. I hated those things.
I will take the black box a million times over.
The only thing I wanted as a kid, we have now and that's wireless earphones. Motorola had some but reportedly they sucked.

I have a Libretto 50ct LOVE that little system. Granted its not as small and amazing as the PC110 its still fun. And it does sport a 75mhz PENTIUM. Do wish I could find a docking station for it though. I WILL collect a PC110 some day.

Owners should probably just embrace screen mods like all the other handheld things have done, replace those dead ghosting screens with a modern non ghosting ones. Other than the keyboard being a bit crap, a pretty sweet unit. :D

There's something so warm and fuzzy about 1990s laptops. I had a late 90s laptop. Used to put Wolfenstein 3D, Rise of the Triad and Duke Nukem 3D on it for those long road trips.

I have some experience fix other things and a little bit more recent notebooks. This defect on screen seems really like to the polarization membrane that deteriorates.
