Fate of Jaina, Rastakhan & Mekkatorque. In the climax for 8. 1, the Alliance prepares to launch an assault on Zuldazar in an attempt to end the war. Though victorious, many sacrifices were made. Later, Anduin and Jaina discuss Calia Menethil and the tragic incident at Arathi

As a gnome main, I am both happy that Anduin cares very much about Mekkatorque being taken out of action, and insulted that everyone else barely acknowledged it and moved on immediately. Jaina at least talked with Anduin about it, but good god people! The Gnomes, Mekkatorque especially, have been super goddamn instumental in major victories in the past few years!
To a point where I'm actually starting to think Blizzard have made gnomes the most powerful race, so they limit their use to keep the drama going. _-Maybe if we create a situation in which Mekkatorque is taken out of action for a while the Alliance can stop automatically winning for a little bit. -_

Emotionesly calling rastakhan a casualty of war excusing his actions but forgetting how his own son was a casualty of war as prince has to sacrificy hisself for people too but taking his own sons death personally is pure alliance hypocricy.
Not death during a war can be taken as personally aslong as that death didn't make the one faction choose sides. As Rastakhan and zandalari weren't allied with the at that point horde only supported zandalari with their problems which makes Rastakhan not a casualty of war it makes Rastakhan victim of an unprovoked attack.

press the attack as the Zandalari mourn their fallen King? that would make us no better then the Banshee. man talk about changing her mind it wasn't to long ago Jania wanted to attack the Horde right after Theramore was destroyed, the Pandaria incident as well as her telling Anduin she was disappointed in him for not wanting to get revenge on the horde after the Broken Shore. now she has a heart and doesn't want to attack the Zandalari after they lost their king. gezz make up your mind Jaina. LOL
reply

-Attacking while their people mourn? We'd be no better than the Horde. - Yes, because stopping a war is absolutely the same as starting one by committing genocide.
When I saw the leaks I thought it was Anduin saying that, but Jaina saying it makes it 100x worse. Jaina's been trying to end the Horde for years now, and the perfect opportunity to do that arises and suddenly it's all -We'd be no better than them-? Why is Blizzard so allergic to consistency?

This has been Blizzard's storytelling in a nutshell through Legion and BFA. -I heard a rumor, and wanted to ask you about it. -
-Player gets ready to witness the explanation and realization, such as when Alleria asked what happened to Sylvanas.
NPCs say -Let's find somewhere more private, and I'll tell you everything-
Oh, right, because we didn't want to hear that conversation.

I had to suppress the urge to vomit hearing Jaina talk about how it would be wrong to attack again while the Zandalari mourn their king, considering she just murdered him in cold blood and butchered countless Zandalari civilians simply out of spite. She-s putting on an act for Anduin, and it-s clear it-s working. Poor, naive, foolish puppet boy-king.

Jiana is Anduin's AUNT? How is this possible? According to the official lore, the wife of King Varian (who was killed during the stone mason's riot) would have had to be the sister of Jaina and a daughter of House Proudmoore. OR Blizzard is hinting that Anduin KNOWS NOW that he is the adopted son of either Arthas or Anduin Lothar himself.

Me: -sees Jaina and Anduin's interaction at the end-
Also me: -scrolls through the comments section-
Finally, me: -sips wine and smiles- Perhaps there is hope for this ship.

Who said to press the attack against the Zandalari, just attack Orgrimmar now that they have sea superiority they can move their whole army across the sea without the Horde being able to retaliate without a fleet.

I can pretty much guarantee that the -magic- required to help mechatorque is in mechagon and that is the basis to going there and finding the mechagnomes as they will help up help mechatorque.
reply

1: 52 God damnit Jaina, you choose NOW to go soft on us? Burn Dazar'alor to ash and crush the zandalari before they can regroup! GO FOR THE THROAT YOU FANCY OUTFIT HAVING ICE LANCE SPAMMER!
reply

Mekkatorque will be half gnome, half machine, obvious.
We won't go against what we stand for! -dishonourable raid with intent of manipulation, complete lack of honour and righteousness-

reply

K blizz I saw the end to a story that was so time gated I no longer care about it, can I play the race that was advertised months before the expansion came out?
reply

Okay so Mekkatorque is unhealable without intervention from the titans, which probably turns him into a living mech hybrid and sets us up for the new class in 9. 0
reply

I will always be Horde, but once you see the enemy. You still hate them for killing Rastakhan and think the plan was completely idiotic, but you do feel empathy
reply

-We targeted an uninvolved 3rd party and assassinated their leader, as an unforeseen consequence they have joined the enemy against us. - Great logic there Blizz.
reply

So are they excluding Prophet Valen from this for some reason, did he fight and die at Dazar'alor, or did he refuse to partake in assaulting Zuldazar?
reply

Dear Gnomes of the Alliance.
We must look at every war crime the Horde have made and now somehow find a way to commit it to them.

I'm laughing at everyone's reaction to -Auntie- haha! I guess I wasn't surprised because in all of Christie Golden's WoW novels he calls her that regularly
reply

This reminds me of any casual random self absorbed alliance circle jerk in the lore forums. Jeez blizzard ain't even trying to hide their bias anymore.
reply

The scene with Jaina, Anduin, Genn, Halford, and Shaw. the music playing at 0: 50 to 2: 10. it's my favorite piece in the entire expansion
reply

I like how camera zoomed in on auntie lmao that blew my mind I head people say it before but never in game I hope we never lose jaina I love her
reply

Horde are getting reskinned goblins that look like naga so things could be worse so Mechagnomes are not that bad for the new alliance race lol.
reply

Wait.
Calia Menethil!
As in Arthas- sister!
She is still alive!
HAHAHA!
THE ROYAL BLODDLINE OF LORDERON STILL LIVES!

reply

We have your dear old daddies body Jaina ready to be raised at any time.
You take our troll daddy, we vring your back. Seems fair.

reply

What happend with calia? she was planing an insurrection on undercity, and shows b4 sylvanas. and well she love arthas family
reply

Dude all your little pop up pictures and having Varian in the back ground while they were talking to Anduin cracked me up
reply

So the alliance try to genocide another race bringing the total to 5 But clearly they are the good faction
reply

-the war will be won in a matter of weeks-
Totally NOT forshadowing a massive horde comeback of some kind.

reply
