What If Mount Everest Were an Active Volcano?

We all know how dangerous climbing Mount Everest can be. Just in this past year, it claimed the lives of 11 people. Yet despite the risk, its sheer magnitude and beauty inspires around 800 climbers a year to flock to the mountain. But what if we stepped it up a notch and made Everest even more dangerous? Imagine this peaceful giant was an angry volcano waiting to burst. How's that for an adrenaline rush! What would happen if Everest erupted? How would it affect the rest of the world? Could we prevent it and others like it?

For those who don't know, Everest and the rest of the Himalayan mountain range was formed as the result of the Indian subcontinent colliding with Asia millions of years ago. It's basically a giant, geological equivalent of the hood of your car crumpling up when you crash into something.

They take turns. There's three of them I just never heard the woman before but I know that there's three of them. All three of them the narrators are all smart! That's not downgrade one or the other. I'm used to the one with the beard. But still I like all three of them.

What about the mount toba theory? That volcanic eruption literally bottlenecked our population and almost killed us out.
I'm pretty sure that one is actually the biggest eruption in the past million years.

yellowstone while it is over due isnt the threat. that belongs to the long valley caldera if that baby goes kiss america goodbye for sure as that beast would likely be worse than yellowstone.

Tbh the non active volcanos are not done I think it just takes longer for those volcanos to erupt plus it-ll probably be worst than the current active volcanos.

What if: Tambora is a supervolcano
What if 5 minutes before hand: it's a stratovolcano
Me: it doesn't just become a supervolcano because of its eruption times lol

Mount Everest isn-t actually a volcano and why would it cause an earthquake on Australia New South Wales or Queensland or South Australia
reply

If mt Everest was a volcano it would be a super by far and at that height it would be days away from a eruption if we were lucky

The volcano at Yellowstone is active, it is a world-killer. So why are you even bothering with a non-threat? lol
