It-s delicious, it-s packed with protein and fat. and a driver of global climate change? That-s right, this is beef. But what if we all just stopped eating it? How would it affect your health? And would not eating beef have global consequences?

Meat doesn't use that much water. A lot of the water is urinated back out and that becomes ground water or grass drinks it. Then the cow eats the grass again. They also eat almond shells, corn husks and stalk, and agricultural byproducts that humans would just throw away. Cows and sheep are recyclers. The real number is 2. 5 liters of water per kilo of meat

i love beef and wont stop eating it for now, but if you come up with food replicators that can reproduce it exactly I would have no problem giving it up, and sorry I can taste the difference from a beef burger and the Impossible burger, I do like the Beyond Meat sausage sandwich at Dunkins though.

All the talk about reducing beef and livestock growth but no one mentions bottled water. It-s as harmful to the economy as any other type of manufacturing or harvesting. So what if we poured out the billions and of gallons of water stored in plastic bottles and containers world wide?

Wow, so much misinformation in this video. Just terrible. Saturated fat is not dangerous and has never been proven to be a problem. Cows are part of a methane cycle and don't cause any pollution at all, especially if raised regenratively. Just a terrible video.

I absolutely loved this video! Very much respect to you, What If, for bringing to light the fact that livestock farming contributes a huge amount to global warming. Many people don't know this or choose to ignore it!

Where are you shopping that your ground beef costs over $11 a pound! You can get grass fed organic ground beef for less than that almost everywhere, and if you want normal non organic try 2. 99 a pound.

I don-t eat beef anymore. I-ve upped my bean consumption to be my primary source of protein. I still have eggs milk and chicken, though. But beef is too costly on the environment and isn-t very healthy.
reply

If we don-t eat them then how will there be less there will just be a over population of cows because more cows will be born and if we don-t eat them there are to manny cows to do that.

40% Indian population eat pure vegetarian food. Learn from them. I'm also vegetarian I never ate egg and another non veg. But still I'm healthy and more stronger than non vegetarian -

Why don't they just make a big bio dome and use the methane gas for fuel or energy manufacturing one large clear dome with a hose at the top to suck the methane gas.
reply

I like the way they say beans are loaded with protein but conveniently chop off the part which says -and you flush most of it down the toilet as it is indigestible-
reply

How will we reduce the number of cows without eating them? Will cows stop reproducing if we stop consuming them? Sorry I don't understand this part.
reply

Beans, beans the magical fruit the more you eat them the more your toot. The more you toot the better you feel, so eat some beans at every meal
reply

Stop eating alive any species will make the species larger in number.
Now tell me which one is the best way to reduce methane in atmosphere.

reply

People in the world: Omg No I don't want to lose eating Beef
Indians: -laugh-You guys are kids.
Only Indians will understand this

You didn't state that Beans are Very High in Carbohydrates and High Carbohydrates being one of the main Contributors to Obesity

3: 46
320 liters of methane gas!
At which temperature and pressure?
Can you please convert that in mole/liter?

reply

Rice production produces methane. So does rotting wood. Eating more beans is just greenwashing. Don-t believe a word of it.
reply

Dude, there's so many options besides beef (even cheaper and more tasty, why so many still eat it knowing its impacts?
reply

Eating meat: 1. 9 billion cows produce gas to atmosphere
Eating beans: 7 billion humans fart to atmosphere

reply

Or just non meat foods as it-s unfair for the animals but when someone is murdered it-s a crime. same thing
reply

Wait just a doubt like counter reasoning.
So is growing cows as part of culture too not recommendable?

reply

Cows would escape as run free for a little while, and the. Humans would fart a lot from eating beans. -
