Alexander the Great conquered a vast empire but did not live long enough to contend with the immense struggle to actually run and keep hold of it. That enormous undertaking fell to the men who succeeded him. Although purportedly Alexander’s last request was that the strongest inherit his great empire, none were quite able to reunite his lands under one banner - though many tried. The wars of the Diadochi (successors) raged for generations after Alexander’s demise. Alexander was never able to conquer any part of present India in the first place. He was defeated by king Purushottam of Punjab. Afghanistan was an integral part of India at that time and greeks were properly humbled. It was the downfall of Alexander. He didn't die while returning, he was injured badly in the war against Purushottam(Porus in greek, and died shortly after.

01: 01. Mesopotamia was not a city, but a zone. Alexander died in the ancient city of Babylon.
04: 08. Babylon was not a province, but a city. The agreement about how to divide Alexander's empire was taken there; that's why it's called the Partition of Babylon.

Please, please, please, discuss: Mohawk Native Americans! Preferably, Turtle Clan. The Queen of the Turtle Clan is my 9th Great Grandmother on my Mother's side and I would love to know more about this clan and/or Mohawk Native Americans.

Where’s the oh narrator Once again, the script writing is terrific. This guy delivers jokes about as well as a one legged man in a butt kicking contest. Please, find a no. 2 narrator.

The narrator needs more charm. The old narrator talks like a friend telling you about some fun fact they heard. The new narrator sounds like he's giving a lecture.

Not sure it's the right niche but if anyone's thoroughly obsessed with Hellenestic warfare in hyper-depth I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's playlist on the topic

This narrator has no detectable personality. If the other fella needs a break, would rather just not have a release from Weird History.
reply

Ladies and gentlemen, this narrator is an og when it comes to delivering internet entertainment, give respect. It's not that weird!
