You have taken a subject and totally politicised it discounting the cultural, belief system and common practices of yesterday and the link with folklore. Many of our seasonal traditions have a male dressed in female garb. During mayday many villages had a Betty or Molly ( man dressed in womans clothes ) as did many Mummers plays. An echo of this is still found in pantomimes during Christmas. Gender reversal was a practice that went back to pagan times as having a spiritual aspect. Many folk songs elude to the Molly the Maid songs. Also the celebrations known as the Lord of Misrule before this custom became the preserve of the armed forces also indulged in this kind of behaviour as did some Morris dancers. There is a deffinate link you missed out on which has been expressed within folklore and folk culture, the bawdy songs of England and the advent of music hall with it's drag queens are the inheritors of this custom. Its a shame you have turned this into a narrative that once again instills a victim narrative rather than the truth while dropping in the letters LGBTQ as if they are directly affiliated, there may have been some affiliation but very tenous to say the least.

That macaroni snitch had me yelling. That was terribly sad. Do yall think the guy thought he was acting noble or just petty? People died, so of course it was a bit much either way.
Seeing the artwork of trans men of the time was really cool. I know it happened, but to see media of it from way back when it happened is really neat.
I still think women had it worse back then, especially as ladies of the night. I seriously doubt Jack the Ripper was plucking off lady boys. Then again, people cant hide from ugly no matter how we live. I bet there was a comparable sicko I just havent heard about, that maybe well never learn of because people were treated like dookie for pretty much whatever reasons the inbred Sloth Goonie with old money said they were.

Reminds me of the Dance of 41 (happened in Mexico during Porfirio Diaz' presidency. The participants were all men from the upper class. They would meet discreetly in a house and half of them would be dressed as women complete with jewelry and make up. There was nothing illegal that could be found but it was so scandalous that some of the participants were not able to escape punishment.

2: 38 in a time where any physical contact between two men might be punished by hanging.
thats quite a statement considering that it was not out of the ordinary for men to walk arm in arm in Britain during Rokoko and the Victorian era. Theres countless lithographies of that, as well as it being mentioned in various books (eg. Austen, Hardy.

Women are supposed to be virgins when they got married. To there husband. And we can not get remarried we are not suppose to.
Only way you can is if you and your husband don't have kids and you husband dies before you do then you can only marry his brother if he is not married and has no kids himself.

I think you used the wrong Thomas Wright image, the astronomer Thomas Wright was born in 1711 and died in 1786. While your video (using image from 1737) stated he would have been executed, but he would have been 15 at the time.

The reason being because it not so wrong for two women to sleep together it was looked down upon. But men have the seed, that makes life! So they are not suppose to spill the seed. It is use to make baby's, not to be wasted!

Could you do a history of surveyors? The Romans, Egyptians and early Americans all had surveyors. Has to be something interesting in all that history.

And now kids are confused about what gender is, and what gender they are. I wonder why people fought so hard to keep this from going mainstream.

Are we all just going to ignore the Good Omens art of Crowley and Aziraphale popping up in this as if it's some sort of historical depiction?

They dressed as women in the same way that Iranian gay men have to transition. Not really because they want to but for safety reasons

Is there a movie out there about this? They seemed to use a lot of stills from a modern movie or something, but I dont see it cited.

Let this be a lesson about how awful religion is.
If religion didn't exist, the LGBTQ+ community wouldn't be so hated.
