Nice video! Here are the symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder (NPD):
1. Grandiosity: An exaggerated sense of self-importance, often accompanied by fantasies of unlimited success, power, beauty, or love.
2. Exaggerated Need for Attention: An insatiable desire for attention and admiration from others, seeking constant validation.
3. Lack of Empathy: Difficulty understanding or caring about the feelings and needs of others, often leading to exploitative behavior.
4. Belief in Superiority: A strong belief in being unique, exceptional, or better than others, leading to a dismissive attitude toward those perceived as inferior.
5. Sense of Entitlement: Expecting special treatment and feeling entitled to privileges without considering the needs or rights of others.
6. Manipulative Behavior: Using others to achieve personal goals, often without guilt or remorse.
7. Lack of Boundaries: Disregarding personal boundaries and invading others' personal space or privacy.
8. Envy and Jealousy: Feeling envious of others' successes and often trying to undermine or belittle them.
9. Difficulty Handling Criticism: Reacting negatively to criticism or perceived slights, often becoming defensive or hostile.
10. Fragile Self-Esteem: Despite outward confidence, narcissists may have fragile self-esteem that's easily bruised.
11. Superficial Relationships: Developing relationships primarily for personal gain rather than genuine emotional connection.
12. Exploitative Behavior: Using others for personal gain, often without concern for their well-being.
It's important to note that diagnosing narcissistic personality disorder requires a professional evaluation by a mental health expert. Additionally, some traits of narcissism can be present in individuals without NPD, so it's important not to jump to conclusions.

I met someone like Sara at work. I thought I would be able to catch if someone was narcissistic bc of past experiences w relatives & low vibe friendships.
I do not talk to this person at all anymore & dont plan on it. However, I feel like it was a lesson that I needed to acknowledge that I was still a bit naive on picking up on these signals.
They seem so kind & treat you so well until they just dont. At first I questioned what I could do better but it was ultimately the most exhausting friendship I ever had.
Thank you for this video. I genuinely hope people can learn from this type of content & apply it to their lives so they can avoid the type of pain & hurt caused by narcissism.

If I were Sci, I would've let the class know that Sarah is a freeloading asshole. Then I would've gone back to the coffee shop to tell the owner that Sarah didn't let me make an order the other day and humiliated me. Then I would never talk to Sarah ever again. If the teacher tried to get me to do a group project with Sarah, refuse. But then again. I'm in my 30's. My school aged self wouldn't know what to do. Narcissists pick kind, well meaning people to gaslight and bring them validation. I was so naive, someone like that would've chewed me up and spit me back out.

Relatable. I am a male borderline with strong narcissistic traits and when I fell in love with a woman with NPS similar things only worse happened. That smear campaign took away a large part of my social circle. We were both emotionally abusive, but I admitted it, committed to therapy and constant work on myself while she remains the perfect and eternal victim. I still love her very much, but we have no contact and due to me suffering from complex posttraumatic stress disorder I hope it will at least stay that way up until my nervous system is back to a normal state.

If I was him, I definitely would have had a word with the teacher afterwards. And I would have slowly but surely distanced myself from her. It took me a while to realize it for whatever reason, but not too long ago I had a narcissistic co-worker and they were very good about putting on a positive front towards people who could get them ahead in one way or another but would think nothing of being angry at everyone else or throwing us under the bus or lying to our faces about things. Honestly, they had the emotional maturity of a teenager at best.

One thing that a narcissist absolutely hates is lack of recognition or reaction.
Give her silence. Don't talk to her anymore. If she sends any flying monkeys after him, ignore them too.
Silence slowly, yet surely, tears a narcissist apart.
The ones that see through Sarah's nonsense are people that are worth Psi's time and friendship.
Remember, be careful about what you hear about others, because you might be hearing it from the problem.

i am a narcissist and i hate it. i dont need people to tell me my flaws because im confident i know them more than you do. not because i dismiss your words cus i dont think they are true. i am very competitive and argumentative and its going to be the end of me. ive won the arguement. but at the cost of my relationship with my parents? i give lots of excuse and i despise myself for that. i cant take jokes all that well. my counters are personal.

This is such a great example of how a narcissistic relation starts and its very similar to mine. My friend spent months trying to convince me that she was in-love with me only to treat me like I had a contagious, fetal disease soon after.
You cant save or help these people. You have to leave them behind. Its sad but true.
Awesome video!

This was awesome. Its so important that children see these videos. These messages are so important. Safety is number one, and as a child, I couldnt even fathom how much people could negatively impact my life just by being in it. How unsafe I was around people who do not have my best interest or well being in mind.

At the first sign, I would have decided to not talk to them as much as I usually do and be more focused on me (my work, friendships, family, etc) I would treat them as another student, like they are, but internally I would be yearning and longing to help them or to become better.

Yeah, I had to change high schools. Wasn't fun at all. I missed out on a lot with the friends I made, growing up etc, now they're all married with kids Lol. I had a high school bully but never dealt with anyone with a narcisistic attitude until I met my now ex-girlfriends.

This couldn't happen at any of my own schools due to because the teachers knew each of the students writing styles and how each students did their form of work. Almost to the point where they knew who did something even without their name on it.

Narcissism has always been one of my absolute worst traits. My english teacher from high school warned me in my senior year not to become one and I'm personally glad she humbled me on that. I never knew how awful being narcissistic can be.

I have somatic NPD and people get so annoyed at me because all I talk about is how pretty I am and how cute I am. I don't want to change anything about myself but I want people to like me, does anyone have any ideas?

I love it! These scenarios are relatable for all of us who are either aware or unaware and will definitely shed light so we know how to avoid narcissist or at least stonewall once we see those traits.

Could you make an episode or video from a narcissist's perspective and talk about their upbringing, personal struggles, when they realize they're one, and recovery / self-improvement journey?

Getting better at feeling like we matter. So often ignored because quiet, and so many issues with self advocacy. It's hard being neurodivergent sometimes. Bawling our eyes out rn typing this. TY

Excellent start. It would be interesting to delve into the deeper, darker parts of narcissists in future episodes. Or maybe even the rumored self-hating narcissist that I've heard about.

After rhe incident at her job, I would've kicked her to the curb, and turned my back on her. She's obviously toxic, and toxic people need to be in the rear view mirror
