Please make a video like this one, but its how to spot a heavily one-sided, unfairly and toxically biased person please. Ive met many and I want others to know how to avoid them and not become one themself. A littlehelp to finding their traits is they dont like hearing other peoples ideas even if they may be right and they are almost always hypocritical and hypocrites themselves, except in a way that they blatantly know and almost enjoy it. They also tend to violently force others onto their side and sometimes blackmail them into their thought process on certain topics (ex. politics, economic decisions, what to do with yourself, you or someone elses personal image, etc) and make it seem like other peoples or even your own opinion dont matter at all, and with a close family member that is heavily one-sided or unfairly and toxically biased they tend to be much more harsh and they retaliate to the extreme since if they can get a sidekick to persuade others, it wont make them look so bad, but really they look even worse since they transformed someone into one of their own and only very few or even none know if they did it violently through blackmail or just by honest persuasion, and you can tell between someone who violently persuades a person vs honestly and humbly persuades a person if when someone is violently persuaded, the toxically biased person who originally started It adds onto the other persons sentence and make lots of edits to their words, if the victim seems uncomfortable or stuffers a significant amount, if they constantly try to end the conversation and just leave, or even if they hardly talk at all about the topic. The Original starter of it may also move a lot or get very pushy towards the other side if theyre sidekick isnt very responsive and they tend to get very grumpy. You will find that with someone who is toxically biased will also get mad extremely easily at any criticism, even when they give lots of criticism to the other side, hence the hypocrisy part of these people I mentioned earlier. An example of an honestly and humbly persuaded person tends to have more confidence in their speaking and holds a very long and enthusiastic conversation. They dont try to opt-out quickly and they throw out some hard-hitting questions to the opposing side as if they were in a real debate. There also tends to be less body language and lighter tension between the various opinions. They also may say not a bad idea to the opposing opinions ideas and accept some new points of view from another perspective.
DISCLAIMER: Please do not make it seem like the person with the unfairly biased opinion is wrong, because people that can be unfairly biased may have a truthful opinion, but keep in mind it is an opinion so it can be understood in any way, shape, or form depending on the person.
Thank you so much and Im so sorry for the long paragraph. I just didnt think you would find enough information since the topic is so sparse amongst people nowadays. Thank you for the amazing content

Let's try:
1. Different action. I think everyone has it. Yes, I have at some point, but more often I can show true me (I mean, my behaviour.
2. Rules. I am a conservative person, so I demand from myself following rules. But if I see someone who is different, I. don't think bad or say something against that person. I am stricted to myself, not to others.
3. Not my fault. Uhm. The opposite is true: I mostly think that it's my fault.
4. Doing as said. Uhhh. No. I don't even know what to write here.
5. Demeaning. If demeaning myself IS a hypocritical behaviour, then I am a hypocrit there. What about others - often, no.

I have been hypocritical before, like proclaiming how fake makeup is and how much i hated it when in secret i had always actually really enjoyed wearing it, but i do work towards not being that way consistently, constantly double checking myself, and can be somewhat hard on myself to keep myself from being like that. I believe very strongly in preaching what you practice. I find that genuineness is the most precious character trait to me. And trying to be as genuine as possible has helped me a little bit with my self esteem issues.
A wonderful video. Thank you for making it.

A year ago I ended a friendship because the person was a major hypocrite. He was inconsistent, he wouldnt listen, he was a narcissist, he thought highly of himself, he talked badly about a dear friend who was pregnant, talked badly about my cousin, and invalidated something that was near and dear to me. I never did any of that stuff to his friends and relatives. He would laugh at his grandma falling down. He was really hypocritical about everything & at that moment I knew the friendship wasnt worth it. Im glad I ended it and my life has been a lot better without him.

It's easier to accuse someone of hypocrisy, shame them and dismiss what they say, than listen to them and try to understand their point of view, their struggles and treat them with compassion. That's why so many people resort to accusations these days (especially online. It comes from the need for attention, and the endless barrage of false narratives by mainstream media, aimed at keeping us distracted, polarised and ineffective, so we can be controlled with consumerism.

with BPD, it's a tough pill to swallow. i lose cognition sometimes when i'm having an episode to fully allign my behavior with my morals. after years of therapy, i'm still working through it. being raised by a narcissist, however, led to me promising myself i would always admit when i'm wrong. i think it's the most toxic when the person asserts their power and doesn't want to change. the willingness to take ownership of your actions and grow is a vital component in healing.

Being a hypocrite is an expression of a weak sense of self. When you're not self-aware enough, you may have spent your days lying to yourself, creating a schism between your reasoning and your impulsive actions.
Noticeably those with Antisocial Personality Disorder or Narcissistic Personality Disorder have the weakest sense of self if it doesn't align with their egos, and like to project their true self onto others out of perseverance of their egos.

I was different fifteen and twenty years ago. My opinions have changed with the changing world. Some have not but probably should and I am working on it. Some things never change, and if the world changes in a noncongruent way in which case I'll abide the laws but try to change them.
Being a hypocrite sticks with me in my memories and self esteem. It's never entirely avoidable but when it is I can get pretty nasty at myself.

My biggest issue with hypocrites is that they expect people in their immediate circle of power as you put it to do what they themselves are not willing to do and when asked why they cannot do it, it's simply because they have some other obligation that prevents them from doing it. This also touches on priorities that differ between people. This is usually a vicious cycle that repeats itself continuously. Very frustrating!

The first names that comes to mind is: Jennifer Lawrence, Lewis Hamilton, Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku.
Some of them before fame seemed to be actual nice persons, but it became hard not to role with my eyes or at moments even beeing disgusted with stuff they say and then thinking they said nothing wrong.
I'm not sure if they would recognize themselves.

This girl I used to be friends with makes fun of people for liking things she considers cringe. I made fun of a book series which upset another friend of mine and when she found out, she said the book series was not that big of a deal. It pissed me off because I apologised for hurting my friend but she never did and acted like she was morally superior.

I have a question because Im not sure, I dont know if Im a hypocrite or not- I give people a lot of advice thats usually good, like making new friends if your current ones are toxic, and stuff like that bit I just, I just cant follow my own advice, its hard to, but its good advice. But I just cant. Does this make me a hypocrite?

What if the best way to spot a hypocrite is to look in the mirror? That is what I do. and I find one every time. and the realization hurts because I really dont want to be a hypocrite thankfully there is grace because we all need it, and thank you for making this educational video for us, I hope all of you have a wonderful day

Be careful of calling someone a hypocrite, they may not be following their beliefs because of personal struggles or circumstances. Not to mention when it comes to friends they may not be willing to push back. Especially if it's someone who is in a higher postion or postion that has influence over them.

In my life I've come to realize that whenever someone's bothered by hypocrisy, there's always a deeper issue that's actually the problem. Think about it like this: if the person in question actually was internally consistent, would their actions still bother you? Most of the time the answer is yes

I actually lived with some hypocrites, which were family members. I thought I was free from their influence until I started taking notes on my actions, in which I learned that I did some bad stuff that I was unaware of. The notes remind me not to repeat the same mistakes.

Remember, there's a difference between being hypocritical and being a hypocrite. We've all been hypocritical about something in our lives.
But a hypocrite is someone who does it constantly to appear better than others or to assert their authority over others.

I grew up with hypocrits. Every time I did something everyone else did to me that was a negative behavior I always got in trouble which annoyed me because I was getting mixed signals on how I should or should not behave.

I had to get rid of one of my friends cause I was so tired of her constantly being hypocritical. It's tiring cause they make u feel like u did something wrong even though they do the same thing wrong too.

I wouldn't recommend this remark as it is very smug, but one idea I once had would be to get in the hypocrite's face and upon them asking to get out of their face to respond with, Which one?
