Join me for a journey back to the 1950-s on the Watercress Line (Mid Hants Railway. The locomotives and rolling stock running on the day typified that of the 50-s with both steam and diesel represented as follows: S&DJR 7F 2-8-0 No 53808, BR -Standard class 4- 2-6-0 - No. 76017, BR Class 20-s No-s D8059 & D8188. Live bands, cars and a delightful period caravan serving speciality coffees and teas were present at Ropley, for those who wanted to get into the groove -That-s Jive- and -Company B- were preforming jive routines throughout the day at Alresford. Many passengers entered the spirit of the decade, taking the opportunity to dig out their old cloths and dress for the occasion, even the odd -Teddy Boy- wig could be seen accompanying stylish ladies dressed in polka dot patterned dresses. One of the best railway videos I have ever seen.
The music is magical and fits perfectly with the late 50s.
An absolute Masterpiece. Oh and I love the insertion of the shrubs and flowers.
