Top Car Tools and Gadgets of 2021 (Christmas Gift Ideas) Robert: Very important for using a DA polisher: you'll need multiple pads of each type if you want to do your whole car at once. One pad per 1-2 panels. The pads get dirty from oxidized paint and dried polish, which can get slung across the surface you want to correct. After every 2x2 section, you'll want to blow them out with compressed air or spin on a pad brush. This would actually be a great how to video to cover. Most of the beginner DA polishing videos just show before/after and not what's needed/how to properly correct an entire vehicle.

For anyone that cares about E85 fuel the E85 often has a very high octane rating usually around 105 octane because of the ethanol but I wouldn't recommend using it in a car that needs premium fuel because that could damage it. (Maybe that E85 kit Chris has will prevent that but definitely not worth risking a very expensive premium required vehicle) Another thing I've noticed is that E85 won't hurt a regular gasoline car built after 2001 even if it isn't flex fuel but I haven't and wouldn't recommend filling it up with E85 Everytime as ethanol will eat away at some plastics in the fuel lines over time. One tank won't make your vehicle explode or breakdown. If your at someplace where the cheap regular gas is expensive you can put in a couple gallons of E85 to get somewhere you know regular gas is cheaper then fill up with regular and the E85 will be diluted. (Obviously I wouldn't recommend using this for premium required vehicles or vehicles older than 2001. Lastly definitely do not mix E85 with diesel as that will ruin several very expensive parts in your vehicle and at best will not run until you drain the entire fuel system or worse yet total your vehicle)

I was so happy to see this finally drop! Great gifts this year, as always. As an aside, I'm just finishing up my first big project on my first car - rear spring & isolator replacement - and I don't think it would've happeneded without your help ChrisFix! The no nonsense, accessible and human approach to car maintanence removed any fear, and quashed all the comments I've heard of oh you can't work on your car, it's dangerous if you're not a mechanic, and has made me fall in love with working on my own car. I would honestly estimate that you have saved countless people around the world literally millions of bucks in mechanic costs, and that alone is one hell of a legacy to leave. But you also make it fun! Thank you for everything you do! Merry Christmas dude

Was just talking about a way to get oil to not spill with oil filters. Oil udder would be great however working with GMCs, it wouldn t work because the oil filter is put higher up in the engine bay. There s barely any room for your hand and no trim for the oil udder.

Did everybody else see the oil sample bottle that said, FERRARII, on it, clear as day.
Come on, Chris! You blur-out every reflection and you missed that. You can do better.
(Not trying to be harsh): )

E85 is NOT worth it, its almost NEVEr half the price, not sure where he got that from and the MPG you lose which is almost double, it never makes sense to use E85. Unless you have a race car lol

I won't spoil the surprise for anybody that hasn't figured it out, but I'm pretty excited for your new car! Not normally a car I'm interested in, but it should be fun to see you work on it!

You should look at the reviews for the car ramps you suggested. Not hating or anything because i love your videos, but just looking at the reviews the ramps seem dangerous.

Would it not be kinda an issue if the car you switched over to e85 doesn t have ptfe fuel lines? even certain pumps and filters will breakdown with e85
