Belt squeal, squeaky belt, belt noise? Learn how to fix a squeaky belt in your car. The serpentine belt in your car powers the accessories such as air conditioning, power steering, the alternator, fan, and waterpump. There are three types of serpentine belt wear, pilling, glazing, and abrasion. Pulley wear will cause your pulley to squeak. A worn out pulley bearing or a worn spring in the tension pulley can also cause squeaking. I show you how to use water to identify what type of squeak problem you have and then how to find the problem. Here is the belt that will get rid of the squeak due to misalignment

Could it be the alternator squeaking? Only does when I turn in the heater fan, it's driving me nuts. Squealing belts or, 2 am in the morning, you think other people, trying to sleep. It's a 1994 Toyota Camry, 4 dr. 4 cylinder, 2. 1 or 2. 2. Two fan belts. Serpentine belt and regular belt. Thanks for any help. Thanks for sharing great video. Oh, Summer time, doesn't that much

Resolve a simple problem for the cost of a belt and a garage will charge 3 times the price for the belt and labor as well. He is showing you what to do and how and why! Follow a 'car guy' and see how he does it, whatever the repair. Some are too much for you and some are simple. use common sense.

DUDE! the water tip is great! I spent half a day changing the idlers and tensioner. A new belt was no where to be purchased that day so I put the old one back on. It was quiet for a day or so then Squeaky! the new belt was my answer. Next time I can use the water to diag. Thanks!

I have a 2007 Honda Pilot & I have a squeaky noise when I accelerate. But wasn't making that noise before the power steering pump went out. Should I replace the belt?
