I was anticipating having to do this as there was a horrible screeching from the blower and it would occasionally cut out completely. My thoughts were that a bearing failed and the motor would need to be replaced, although an aftermarket one would only be 40. It turned out to be an even easier and practically free fix. In my car (2010 Mazda CX-9) the AC reservoir is situated next to the blower motor and the AC drain plug was clogged so the water had overflowed and flooded the blower motor. A little blast of compressed air cleared out the clog and miraculously the motor was completely fine. The car peed like a racehorse for a good 3-4 minutes after I busted the clog out

Chris, I know it's been a long time since you upload this, but I hope you read.
I've facing problems with my blower and it appers to be the same noise you shown in the beggining. But the blower start the noise when I hit 60 mph on a highway. Even when the AC is off, the noise shows up on road trips when I hit about 60 mph. I've cleaned it a lot of times and even replaced the blower but the problem seems to persist. Higher the speed higher then noise, it drives me insane sometimes. xD
Do you have any ideas about this?

Chrisfix: help me please! My air blower got a lot of noise so I took it off and tried to put some oil in it. But when I plugged it back again, it couldnt run and released some white smoke. So I think my air blower is burnt and gone. So I bought a new air blower. I plugged it in and it is still not running with a new air blower. Could you please help me? Its a honda civic 2014. Is it the resistor got burnt also? Or the car computer got a signal not to run the air blower?

Thanks so much for this video. My motor was making noises 2 days ago, but today it ran fine. Now, I know I just need to get in there and clean out some debris. What's even better, my wiper reservoir has a giant crack, so I am going to replace that and have easy access to the motor debris at the same time. You have saved me about 1, 000 over the last 2 years. Maybe more. Love your stuff. From: 2005 ford ranger edge owner.

I had this problem in my car. I retrieved the motor from behind my glove box and a piece of black foam fell out from somewhere. I cleaned out all the leaves and debris. After putting everything back in, I noticed the clicking noise is gone, but there is a vibration (of thin metal sheets) every time I accelerate or idle. I suspect it has something to do with the black foam piece, but I am clueless where it would go.

I am changing mine today, because the blower wheel (plastic) is broken. I replaced the fan about two years ago, and did not loosen the reservoir. I had to force the fan in, and may have caused it to break. I'll do it correctly today.

Hey Chris, can you make a video on how to install a fan on a condenser and how to wire them. I have a compact car that doesn't have a fan on the condenser. I haven't seen any videos or good videos about it. I hope you can read this.

Hey Chris. Can I spray the inside of my VW Passat 2010 B6 fan heat blower motor with Holts silicone spray please? It makes squeaky noises when I turn it on. The blower housing was free from leaves and sticks.

The blower motor on my 07 Nissan Sentra is on the driver side underneath the instrument panel. The only way to get it is to go below the steering wheel. Man its a pain!
