All the comments about how bad a plastic impeller is are amusing. Please guys turn your brains on: the plastic impeller is intact! Same goes for all the jeep haters who probably never owned one. I have a 2006 Liberty with almost 250K miles and still going strong. She let me down only once at 210k for a failing fuel pump (my fault really, fuel pumps aren't supposed to last that long. Had to replace one oxygen sensor around 150k (I changed them all for good measure) and the AC compressor last summer, did routine maintenance, and didn't have the shred of a problem with the car, and I am not a gentle driver. Moreover, everything i mentioned I did myself (thanks to awesome youtube videos like this one, parts cost nothing, all engine parts easily accessible, no need for fancy one-job tools. Please keep amusing me guys. love you all.

My 02 jeep liberty limited 4x4 overheated. Still overheating with waterpump, thermostat and belt changed. Now won't idle or run. Change both throttle sensors. Spark plugs now going to change coil packs and crackshaft sensor. Im honestly at a loss because this rig ran great. No water flow. Unsure what to do. Advice?

I know it's a rare occurrence, but wouldn't a thermostat that's stuck shut give you the same conditions/clues? What led you to know that it was the waterpump? Coolant doesn't circulate through the overflow tank on any of my vehicles. I'm puzzled.

Back in the 70's Mercury Marine started using plastic more n more. When I was at service school I remarked about the cheap plastic parts. The instructor told me in no uncertain terms that the correct term was. Anti- corrosive material!

Being a boat guy I'm find myself being around the the customer alot. Surprised how much they offer me beer and weed. Lol. I never take them up on it and I do remind them that I'm working on their boat.

Hi, you should have shown the Gauge of the Temperature so we could see how bad was
the over Heat? Was is a little above the middle point or way up?
