The paint is not the best on my old car. The engine compression is on the low side of normal. I have had the engine and transmission out to fix leaks and I am by no means a mechanic. I take my time, I read the manual and I watch youtube videos to fix things. The car is 23 years old. It starts every morning and has never let me down. I have been thinking of getting a newer car but some of these newer cars seem to have their problems. My old car is a manual transmission too. I like changing gears. Manual transmissions have nearly disappeared entirely.

I don't comment on many videos of any kind because I never feel like ity my place to but I feel your pain on aftermarket stuff. I won't rant about any experiences in detail but I've also been put behind because of aftermarket fixes, the new best thing, and a general disregard of doing something right the first time. That's one thing I really appreciate about the work you do at your shop. You take pride in what you do so you do it right. Every time! Thanks for making awesome videos Eric! Eric it's the same crap in every profession. Ive lost count how many times I've been called out to a leaking pipe under a sink and I get there to find what would have been a 15 cent slip nut gasket and 2 minutes of my time now turned into an hour because Joe blow smothered silicone goo all over the drain to fix the problem. You have your technicians who know what their doing and do the job right the first time, and you have your guys who do jackass work to make a quick buck and make the rest of us look bad.

What people dont understand is that one bay is shut down until the parts come in and you cant pass the money or work that you could have done but now your at the mercy of waiting on parts. thats frustrating because your going something someone else tore up

I've done a blend door repair on a jeep cheerokee and the dealer sold a repair kit from the manufacturer that instructed you to cut a hole in the air box to replace and repair the blend door in their TSB. All the work was done behind the glove box.

Installed a preluber in my chevy S-10. It was really loud and ran for a few seconds after you turned-off the engine. What a complete waste of energy and money. At the time I was so into it. A case of gadget infatuation.

I was asked to install a remote start kit in a vehicle with a Manual Transmission. said nope! explained to him where there is going to be that One time you forgot to leave it in Neutral and set the parking brake.

Funny how when you're young you'll blow your savings to mod/upgrade/boost/trick out everything you own. Then in your 40's you'll drop 150 on an OEM ashtray to keep it all stock
